I hope we can. It would add that extra layer of personality to them; make them feel more special. Even if other people online can't see the names, I'd still like to be able to name my characters.

You need to wait a minute between posts. It's a measure for everybody and my guess is that it prevents spamming.

You can't tell what their gamertags were unless you asked for it from them, Im guessing their (KONAMI)'s intentions were "better to be safe, then sorry" if by chance any hackers were to try and seize control of your gamertag. Plus it's adds an extra layer of personality when you name them. :slap:

This applies for Steam games also?Because i know in Steam games i always have my Steam username without the ability to change it ingame.

I'm wondering the same thing. I think the only game Ive played that didn't have that was Global Agenda. But in GA, your name was the one you chose for your account.
No idea.

Id imagine that you can name them for your own sake to keep track but that for forming fireteams and in game it would use the gamer tag.

I quite like the way Global Agenda did it, since it was brought up.

It still allows you to choose your name, but binds your name to the entire account; not per char.

Will we have the ability to name each character differently or will it just be our Gamertag for each?

I asked this a while ago (mustive said it wrong?)
And only got the part about your character having his own voice...

I hope we do get to name our characters! I'm going to be either Warren or Lemiu! Hooray for names!

I'm sure with so many customisable characters they'll let you name them, just so you can keep them straight in your head. i.e. This one is called "The Resistance Red Misted Penguin of Death, Lead Mayhem and Lone Anarchy" :gun: ...and this one is "Roy" :woot:  . It's a pain to go through them all otherwise.

a name would have no purpose, your GT will be above you head in game anyway

You will indeed see the gamertag above a player's head.

But apparently you can name characters like you can name weapon-loadouts in Call of Duty. In an Expo-Review the reviewer said he named his character.

Names would serve a purpose...
Its much easier for me to remember their skills etc if my characters are called "Pete" and "Jim," rather than slot 1 and slot 2.

One of my security characters is gonna be called "Rowdey" a cookie to anyone who knows what he's based off. Thinking of other names I could give my character now.

A common thing among all forums is when two or more people post the same general thing at the same time. The first person to post has "ninjaed" everyone else.

Also some people say Wraithed, in honor of........ Well, Wraith!

You got Wraithed by almost a whole page...
Not to mention, this forum also uses the term "Wraithed" interchangably with "ninja'd" because Wraith is our resident ninja. :ninja:
