Okay so I had oblivion installed awhile back, but reformated since then. I found my old disk and tried installing it again.. I installs about 1/4 way when it says "Feature Transfer Error, File: D:\data2.cab , Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).... I have no idea for this error.

However I have noticed that the bottom of my disk is filthy containing [censored] that won't really come off... so is this error telling me my disk is messed up? :violin:

Yes, that is pretty much what that error means.

A cyclic redundancy error means that your computer can't read the disc properly. That can be caused either by a scratched/dirty disc, or there's something wrong with your drive. In most cases though, it means a bad disc.

Ah I see thanks guys. Btw, I used a cloth and wiped it down with cool water and it's working! WOO OBVLIVION HERE I COME AGAIN....
