Let's review what we know:
One of the largest selling points of Brink so far has been there integrated single/multi player gaming experience.
There are distinct advantages to getting experience and levels (you unlock heavy and light body types at levels 5 and 7 in that order, not to mention huge amounts of customization options).
Your character, with all experience earned, can switch between online and offline totally unaffected, and brings all their experience with them.
With this in mind, I was wondering if anyone knew if there are difficulty settings for singleplayer. If there are not, how does Splash Damage plan on making Brink enjoyable for all levels of gamers?
And if there are, what measures will be in place to stop everyone from playing on easy until they have all the experience they need, and then going online once they have all the stuff they want?
Games such as Halo have gotten around this issue by making credit earnings much higher online, but all promos about Brink I've seen have made it very clear that the only difference between online and offline is that there are real people instead of AIs playing.
Conundrum!
