Difficulty lvl 80 vs lvl 40... difference?

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 1:10 pm

I'm lvl 43 now and ever since I got enchanting to 100 I have had some great enchants and gear making everything easy. Will things get tougher as I progress? Lets say I have arguibly the best gear in the game by lvl 40... leveling at this point you wouldn't be able to gather better gear correct? So how is difficulty in for example lets say lvl 80's compared to lvl 40's?

Enemy levels cap at level 50, I believe. So no, you're probably never going to have much stronger enemies.

Enemies cap is 50. But I'm level 70 and I still think they get harder.

Cheers

That would be great if the enemies capped at 50, I couldn't imagine fighting a Level 80 Ancient Dragon.

so they give us a game where we can play till 81, have massive enchants and great armor, not to mention the potions. yet they cap monsters at level 50? that's would be like capping oblivion monsters at level 18 or 19.

The problem with leveling past 50 or so is that you're going to be leveling a bunch of skills that you won't be using.

Yup, you'll be grinding at that point.

Guess we'l have to wait for a mod that does what I reqeust. Would be awesome if there is not only added difficulty with higher levels, but also added a variety of armor, weapons and other items. Because in my opinion the game is far larger then the restricted level ''soft cap'' limits itself. Such a mod would grant greater incentive to progress past lvl 50.

I do wish there was at least a few lv 80 bosses so you could still find some challenge but o well.

[Why let players go to level 80 yet the mobs only go to level 50? This is something that mods usually fix but tol me its just

Because, 50 is (to my knowledge) the last perk you get, and unless you deliberately go out of your way to level new skills you likely won't go too much higher than 50.

I agree to an extent. I would love to see something like "Dragon Primes" or something along those lines, that are just completely bad ass creatures that are like 5-10 minute long battles where you wouldn't hope to win without slamming down a few dozen potions and having top of the line gear. One can only hope with DLC. Optional boss battles are probably one of the best and most underutilized possibilities.

I'm at 81 (Hard cap). Perks for every level, even past 50. I've saved 10 perk points for possible future character tweaks. I'm a warrior-thief with no magic, other than 5 points in Alteration for resistance.

I'm not annoyed by that since i don't use those super powerfull weapons and armor..

I'm level 40 right now and i'm still using my faithfull Glass Sword and my Faithfull Iron Armor..
And i pretend to stick with lower Weapons and Armor forever... so i don't care if the Enemies stop leveling on 50, because for me they will be kinda hard even if i'm on lvl 100..

Enemy stop getting harder around 50 but the distribution moves more towards tougher boss like mobs the further up you get from what I have seen.

i feel Skyrim has more replay ability but less to do overall, perhaps due to the lack of level scaling and dungeons that reset.

Maybe because at level 50, your six core skills are maxed around 100. Any leveling past that and you are raising skills that have nothing to do with your core character.

If the game has level scaling, people complain.
