Hi guys, I'm having a very weird bug in the marriage quest. I have married Sapphire before with console commands so there was no problems there. Then, Lydia via the normal way. But due to an argument, we divorced and she left Breezehome (I set her to essential before so I don't think it's the corpse bug).

So Rune and I say our vows and immediately when the priest talked about the wedding rings, I immediately fail the quest and Rune says "How could you?!"

Any way to alleviate that problem? My character really wants to marry him.

Maybe he's just bugged? A good alternative could be Brynjolf, maybe?

Yeah, he is bugged. After the failed wedding, Rune started to attack random guards and I magically got a bounty of 40 which I had to pay. I had to put Rune down and resurrect him so he didn't say "How could you? Just go!" all the time. Oh well, it's probably for the best anyway.

I'm going for Brynjolf right now. Hopefully he won't be as bugged as Rune was.

What mods are you using that may impact the marriage system?

Multiple Marriages (Dudestia) and UFO. Maybe it is a conflict with them? I had absolutely no trouble marrying anyone who I please but now I can't do it anymore.

I removed both mods and tried to marry anyone. Can't do that now.

Oh, come on! Am I the only person who tries to help?

OK, try cutting down all of your mods. And add them back one by one.

I just loaded an earlier save from four hours ago (thanks to autosaving!) back when my character didn't cheat on Lydia. Not much progress lost.

Maybe we don't know the answer? Did you consider that?

You know, I did try marrying another spouse such as Rune and yeah, same problem. But my character is still with Lydia so...
