Digital Pre-order!

Post » Sun Jan 26, 2014 8:50 am

Hello!

I am very much looking forward to playing ESO, and can't wait until the digital pre-order gets out (with hopefully some extra's and early access)!
Let Bethesda (and Zenimax) know that we would like to have it out there so we can all start to financially support their work!

What would u like in it and let them know how baaaaaad u want this to be for sale!

Let's go!

Why no steam or PayPal? Or..a thing that can hold 250 pounds of weight when it is slot inventory?

1) why no "steam" because they take about 3 weeks to update games for me and ive heard many others say the same.

2) why no paypal? because i had my account hacked with them and they owe me money they refuse to pay.

3) why a dwemer centurian sphere that can hold 250 pounds? because i dont like having a horse as a pet and prefer a dwemer centurian as my pet that can and should help me in pve and pvp. similar to the one i was awarded in Great house Telvanni for completion of a quest. it holds special memory for me. i usually carry alot of 1 certain item because im a crafter and enchantment specialist in all the elderscrolls single player games and wish to continue this same path in eso. so this will be more of a weight problem instead of an inventory slot problem as you have mentioned.

Well, I for one, would certainly pre-order for a x-day early access!

First ingame preorder bonuses is an very bad business practice. In short its an way to give people who preorder an benefit, yes this helps more people buying the game, its an very huge help if the game is bad.
Second in ESO its not an huge issue, an very large amount of players has been in the closed beta and decided if they want to play or not.

Last it will be an open beta so unless they close the window before the open beta anybody would be able to preorder if they like the game.

Giving preorders a day or two head start might be an idea to spread out the players a bit. Yes its an benefit but someone who play 6 hour day will bypass the one who does 2 a day anyway.

However because of the megaserver the starting zones will not be impossible crowded like they tend to be on MMO launches.

Crowded start areas are a turn-off. I will definitely pre-order to avoid the recruiters, spammers and competition in the quests.

With the way the world is phased, crowds shouldn't be a big problem. Server stability is another matter, of course

Inventory in ESO comes in slots not pounds  Items don't HAVE weight.

I'd be opposed to putting something like that in a preorder... not because I wouldn't like it (I WOULD), but because I don't think such bundles should contain anything that gives a significant gameplay advantage. And if it's both a packmule and a combat pet, that is two kinds of significant advantage.

It looks like a horse will do most of what you want, for carrying stuff anyway, although we don't know how much they can carry yet.

I would definitely want digital download. I live in Eastern Europe and my local video game shop NEVER has any contracts with the publishers and they just buy it like regular customers, which means I can't have it the day it releases like I could if I bought from Amazon, and I must wait at least a couple more days for the delivery. Also, the transport fee from Amazon UK kinda stings as well.

Not sure if ill get both copies (mine/wife's) digitally. Kinda want to see what's in the CE and if its something cool stuff we will get one boxed CE and prolly download the other.

As far as what I would like to see in just a pre-order. Nothing that gives any sort of advantage for sure. Maybe a title of some sort. Really the one thing I want is just to be able to download the game early so we can just play come the 4th lol.
