Then I want a dirty little gnome with the intelligence of a pug to ride your shoulders!

Edit: For clarification that′s how a Dragon would view the humanoid races.

You can summon a dragon (I think it was from a dragon shout)... meaning that dragon will be friendly to you.
So maybe you can ride that summoned dragon as well?

Just a thought.

And what about the possibility of the dragon only "pretending" to be your friend, pretending that you rule over it, so that it can fly high with you and shake you off. Heck even if the dragon could not shake you off I would not be suprised if it did a suiside dive to protect its dragon friends from you, after all you are supposed to want to kill them.

I'm not saying I want it. To be honest I'm not sure. Perhaps, perhaps not.

I'm curious though, why wouldn't you want to ride a dragon that would be friendly summoned anyway?

I find it cheesy. That's all really. Like the only reason for implementation would be to look cool. Nothing will change my mind on this.

Haven't we had enough of these threads? I've spent enough time in Northrend so no ridable dragons please, there will be mods for that anyway.

All Im saying is the tactical advantage of being able to ride a dragon would give you leg up in combat. Allowing for larger engagements. That and Bethesda would be able to get rid of fast travel.

I'm severely doubting that it is "friendly" towards you. The power of the Dragonborn is more than normal men, and probably allows you (with the shout) to invoke your will upon a weak dragon (much as you can control the minds of men with magic if you're strong enough). I'm sure the dragon is not happy about the situation, but has no choice in the matter. After all, a lot of dragons perceive the mortal races as lesser beings not worthy of living.

That said some dragons have helped the Empire in the past and it's possible you do get friendly with one. That seems somewhat obvious and cliche, unless Bethesda are very careful about how that plays out. I certainly don't want it to feel like a "pet". It would have to be done in a way where the player realises the power of the dragon, and is actually humbled by it's friendship.
