im on the diplomatic immunity quest and I got all the papers I needed to get and now I need to escape with a prisoner in the cellar and it says I need a key to go out through "Reeking Cave" where the prisoner said they throw dead bodies and i've been looking for this key and I cant find it anywhere. Maybe its a bug or its well hidden, but I cant find it plz help!

Reeking cave is located on a road below the hillside where Thalmor Emabssy sits. If you look on your map, it will be located in between Thalmor Embassy and Ravenscar Hollow. However, I have encountered a bug where Reeking Cave does become discovered and will not appear on your map.

IIRC the key was upstairs in a desk. Also, I think if released the prisoner will open the hatch down below.

Oh, and when you release the prisoner I think some guards come in a murder your informant. You can kill them and loot the key off their corpses

Some guards will come in and one of them will have it. If they haven't come in yet try reading the Esbern dossier to see if that starts it up.

U guys r such a bunch of crying babies, "OMG IM TAKING MORE THAN 5 SECONDS TO FIND THE KEY??? WHY ISNT IT GLOWING WITH A NEON SIGN" take ur time and play the [censored] game man, seriously. Did u even botter searching the area propperly? The key is on the guards that appear after u release the prisioner -.-

Yeah....dude chill out and relax. His quest is probably bug, I had this same problem on this quest where there was no Trap key on the guards. Even when I reload from a couple of saves back sometime I would even get the wrong key ...sigh . I'm pretty he didn't just come on forum right of way after he couldn't find the key. He probably did like I did check YouTube videos or walkthroughs to see where this key was.....and then came to realize ....damn that key was supposed to be on those guards that came after I free the prisoner. My main quest is bug. ughhhhh Anyways.... jxg123sk, I had to restart and make a whole new character and I just focus on the main quest. When I got to that same part the( Trap key) was on the guards so I was happy....until later on I ran into more main quest bugs. You probably should just wait until they come out with patches to fix this game...Umm yeahhhh hopefully they will... If not well I learn my lesson never buy Bethesda games for PS3 .....Blah
