I am not able to get the DirectX 11 option enabled.
I downloaded and installed Crysis 2 through Origin. I applied the 1.9 game patch, then downloaded and installed the DX11 Ultra Upgrade and the High Res Textures upgrade.
I am able to put the game settings all in the Ultra level at the advanced graphics menu, however in the graphics menu, the DX11 option is completely grayed out (disabled)
My system is:
Radeon HD 6950 with 2GB of DDR5, PCIe, DirectX 11 able, HD3D able. Diamond brand.
Intel Quad core Xeon 3430
Windows 7 Professional 64bit, 4GB DDR3 ECC
Latest upgrades for Catalyst and DirectX have been applied.
I tried re-installing the game and patches several times already.
I tried adding r_Driver="DX11" in the game.cfg file and in the system.cfg files already
What am I missing ? How do I get my Crysis 2 licenced version to run in DirectX 11 mode?
Is DirectX11 not running for all Radeons HD 6950 through a configuration blockage inside the Crysis 2 game ?
I did notice another switch that allowed me to access the 3D settings : r_StereoSupportAMD=1 .
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks,
Extant
