So if you told your computer "Maximum GAME!" would it eject Crysis 2 from the disk drive?

I didn't say Java.

I use C++ and I'm writing a speech-operated program with the Speech API (SAPI) that everyone thinks is amazing. I didn't take a class, I taught myself. So please don't treat me like I'm stupid.

It doesn't matter what language you use. A 14-year-old junior high student is not a programmer. They're a student that knows how to write C++ code. And while I applaud you for taking it upon yourself to learn C++, real programmers and software engineers work on applications that would make your SAPI program look like helloworld.cpp.

Ohhh LOL. Not quite, but if you say "Turn off TV", then it will do so provided that you have programmed the remote codes through the IR receiver.

Go easy on the poor kid. I think he means "hobbyist programmer", which is probably more than some of the people putting him down are.

Someone can just as well call themselves a "cyclist" when all they do is go around the block a bit, as opposed to a "professional cyclist" being one who participates in large events and such.

He can rightly call himself a programmer, but not honestly a pro without actually being one.

PCs @ max performance run at 60fps.
Consoles run at 24 or 30fps.

are you stupid. hahah "PCs @ max performance run at 60fps." my pc runs @ 90fps maxed in HEAVEN!! and @ 140fps in dirt 2 both of which are DX11.
I meant optimal.

No but when you say Maximum game it sprays you with cologne and the wardrobe flys open to expose his superfly pimp suit.

(not meant as a put down just a pun on game)

Earlier we were arguing different points, that happens when we only read certan posts!

The tweet was very clear, by saying 'I have 16ms or more to play with' he meant development on the PC version is continuing and more post processing effects can be rendered. Consoles do not have the extra frames to apply any extra p-processing to.

That has been removed from his twitter page....

MAXIMUM SECRET

Anybody else get the impression Crytek want us to think there is a DX11 patch coming soon for the moment. But only if they can create that impression without actually getting caught on record saying it "officially".

I wouldn't be that surprised if 2 months from now Nathan Camarillo says "Oh yeah about that DX11 announcement... There isn't any DX11".

Didn't you hear? Nathan Camarillo is the new Robert Bowling.

Technically I feel that Crytek manipulated PC gamers into buying the game rather than coming up front and telling the truth that the PC version was only going to have DX9 at release then later DX11/10 will be released. This is called blanket marketing.

I am a dedicated fan of Crysis, or else I would not have gone and spent $$$$$$ rebuilding a dedicated C1/Warehead system to being a dedicated C2 system. They cannot deny the reason they didnt come straight out and say DX11 WILL NOT be in the C2 release as it would have impacted sales.

Congrats, you got my money, but at the same time trust was lost.

I am so agravated that I cannot play the game maxed out. I now have to WAIT like I WAITED for C2. I hate people f***ing with my head.

Right, because that wasn't really a pun or a putdown, it was just awful.

I might actually have to delete my joke so no one can trace it back to the epicenter.

I would agree, I would have still bought the game, however its the evident intention that bothered me the most. Whinning ? If ou spent an arm and a leg on a PC you have all right to scream. Atleast I have been moderate about it. The more I hear about DX11 the more it reminds me of how they blanket marketed the game.

If Crytek was straight up in the begining about DX11 then people wouldnt have been pist off. All they would have to deal with is kids wanting their candy rather than kids wanting their candy cause your promissed it giving false hopes and expectation and letting them down.

Crytek has no power over DX11 getting patched

@n8camarillo "game dev is difficult when dealing with publisher rules. Sorry :("
