I'm trying to disable the blasted console in New Vegas (PC version) so my son has to learn to play a game without cheating, but I've changed ballowconsole= to zero in every single .ini file (and yes, I checked them ALL) and the stupid tilde key STILL brings up the console.

Can someone either tell me a foolproof way to disable the stupid thing, or could someone smart write a .dll for NVSE or whatever like Scanti did for Oblivion that disables the console completely?

I know this might be redundant but did you edit fallout_default.ini in the Default game folder? The rest of the ini files get overwritten with the values from this everytime you launch the Game Launcher.
