Disapointment

Hello dudes.... im here to share my vision of this game wich had great potential but.....

I can say that the game is just bad, ITS bad game....

for start....

there is no super mutant, raiders, gunners base or something, the enemies are all scatered trough the wasteland...and u cant really be an evil character joining some of the bad dudes factions, only those from the main story line, which svcks completely, there is no enclave or some real enemy....

the side missions are.... please help kill the ghouls, or raiders or something, not to mention when u receive a quest from the same person to do the same thing.... poor poor game....

the locations offers nothing exciting or new.... the main story is so bad, but what is even worst is the lack of options..... it seens u will always be a good guy in the end....... the game lost the fun of playing again

ONLY 2 CITIES IN THE WHOLE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and i played fallout, fallout 2, and they are trully great games...... fallout 3 and new vegas were much better than fallout 4..... building ur setlements seens cool at the begining, but no one with some cool quest comes to ur towns, all u have to do is make those dumb settlers happy.

forgive my english, im not american..... im just disapointed at the game.....

just like diablo 3.... diablo 3 completely svcked so much, they couldnt fix it till today with patches, and if u think fallout can be saved with dlcs...i dont think so...

well..... just wanted to share

Not sure how to respond to the rest of your post, but there is in fact a Gunners and Super Mutant base, which i would consider mainbase for their operations. The raiders are split into many factions, about 9 i think with named leaders. When one dies it will change reaction of the others through envoirmental storytelling, notes, etc. If you meant as friendly base and joining them, then no, it does not have that.

you make a good point. let's hope dlcs at least bring more quest variety.

I'm sure they won't change the main mission structure to accommodate an evil playthrough and i doubt we'll be able to join factions like the rĂ iders or gunners, but that would be an awesome addition.

Have to disagree. The enemy factions do have bases.

Gunners: Primarily Gunners Plaza, but they have outposts.

Raiders: Read some of the terminals at Raider locations. They aren't all one group and are actually competing with each each, hence they each have their own base.

Super Mutants: No specific base, but they simply control most of downtown. But seem to have bases of sorts at Fallons, Farenel Hall and Trinity Plaza and Tower.

Also, you couldn't join any of the really bad factions in previous games either, so using this as a stick to knock Fallout 4 whilst praising the other games seems....odd.

Also, Enclave is GONE. They've been destroyed three-four times now. Won't be much left.

Side quests, there are a few. Seems like you've just been getting the radiant repeatable ones from settlements. You do have to go looking, people don't just come to your settlement and hand you quests.

Yeah, there's two cities. But there's a few little settlements that you can take over, others you can build and at least two that got wiped out prior to the game. Fallout 3 by example had Rivet City and Megaton.......two cities. Plus a lot of little settlements that you couldn't take over (And in some cases made zero sense)

New Vegas had New Vegas....one city and a few little settlements that you couldn't take over. Primm and Goodsprings are nowhere near big enough to be classed as cities.

Just had to quote this (as a Brit I found it somewhat amusing).

right, i may have been a little radical, but it doesnt change the fact that the game could be much better.... guess the major problem here is the lack of options, i liked a lot to play evil charactes, i remember fallout 2 when there were bounty hunters after you when u reached certain level of evilness.... about enclave being gone its ok if they do not show up but there should be some organization to play the roll of "bad guys" which i though the institute was going to be, but they are good guys....

fallout is all about choices.... making it short... we dont have much options, if u start to play evil, definetely there should be some way to join these factions.... and the classic endings of fallout are gone.

about the raiders and gunners bases, i found those but i dont consider it bases, they are all open air.... easy to find, easy to kill.

im making these report considering the fun i had with the other fallout games, the times i played again, and again, fallout 4 didnt offer that, i dont feel i want to play again u know ? i feel like there is nothing there to see

Yeah that caught my eye too. You mean us Americans arent the only ones who speak English? Anyways. I'm glad they have the radiant quests. With levels that just keep going glad we have something after the msq and side quests to keep exp going. Though I do think the karma system should've stayed.

There are most definitely main bases for the Gunners and Super Mutants, and numerous main bases for the different Raider groups. The Gunners main base is at the Gunners Plaza, and they have heavily fortified outposts at the Quincy Ruins, the Mass Pike Interchange, and Hub City Auto Wreckers, as well as several other locations. The Super Mutants occupy the entire area around Fallon's Department Store, and a number of other bigger areas. The Raiders have the Corvega Assembly Plant, Saugus Ironworks, and a ton of other locations.

Quincy ruins is a good fight, seems that should be their base. The gunners plaza was a bit of a let down. When I finally stormed that place i thought it would have been a better fight. Though i went in with an explosive .308 combat rifle. But Quincy is a good one. For the mutants Big Johns Salvage at high levels is a good one too.

What? Your saying that this game would have been much better for you if it had more thing YOU approve of? Shocking! I would have liked this game better if the world size was daggerfall sized and be just as detailed.

Your opinion about Institute apparently make them as good guys.

But not for me.

So congrats, you just joined the bad guys here.

Bad or good is depending on your view. I think the writer is proven to be great because they don't need to make obvious evil to be the Bad.

LOL.

As to the OP, I love FO4, and I've had a great month playing, but I agree that there are too few unique quests. After a little research, there seems to be about half of the unique quests that Skyrim has, for example. To make matters worse, because of the faction system, many of those quests are unobtainable, and some quests are lost (like Plugging a Leak, for example), if you do things in the wrong order even if you side with the correct faction to get the quest (as I did). All I do now is visit the same 2-3 settlements for the MM, to do the same things, to get more XP and resources for building up my settlements a bit. I will have to start a new character soon because there's simply nothing left to do.
