I haven't played very far into the game. I was able to play it the day it came out, but didn't get to come back to it until yesterday. When I got to Primm, I shot a couple of the convicts in the street, but there was another one hiding around behind a building. I snuck around to kill him, and when I came back to loot the bodies of the ones I killed in the street, they were gone. I thought it might have been a bug and they sunk into the ground or something, but it happened again inside the Bison Steve Hotel. I killed the guy with the flame thrower thing, but there were a couple of other baddies in there. I took them out, spoke with the deputy, finished clearing out the building, and when I came back to get the loot off of the dead people, their bodies were gone.

I was very that I missed out on some good stuff. So I figure maybe this is by design since in Fallout 3 the bodies stayed forever, but to disappear in minutes is a little ridiculous. I go back to Goodsprings to get healed and sell some stuff, and what do I see? The bodies of the powder gangers I killed days ago are still there.

It has happened to me as well.
