So! My latest issue is disappearing grass. Maybe it has been that way from vanilla install, since I wasn't paying attention, so this may or may not be a mod issue. But right now I've noticed the grass pops on and off the screen, even with disappearing grass fix mod installed. I've arranged it to be last in the load order.

It is insanely annoying, to say the least. 2 questions:

i.) any known fixes around this?

ii.) I have read that installing grass overhaul helps, but I don't want to sign up with Nexusmod. Any other site hosts this file? I've done my fair bit of googling, but nothing showed up.

Use Enhanced Grass by Alenet.

I you use Oblivion Reloaded the grass should already work with no problems. Report the problem in Oblivion Reloaded nexus thread.

Because OR sets iMinGrassSize to 120?

Um, no. It has it's own grass engine IIRC.

I'll try experimenting with different load order and see if that helps. Oddly, it only occurs at Bravil right now. I have yet to do much adventuring (new character, hardest difficulty, no leveling mods), but the outskirts of town don't seem to have this grass issue.

If it's directional (only happens when facing certain directions) it's something that happens to some OR users and not others, similar to the directional precipitation some people report. If so, I don't think Alenet has ever figured out what causes it.

But I'll take what is available. The beauty of the combined mods is a major positive that, if this bug is indeed limited to directional views, will make it little more than a minor annoyance.

You can turn off OR's grass in the ini and use Oblivion's default grass with whatever enhancements you like.

You can try this by Alenet http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45490/?(outdated version of OR grass part) but I don't think it will work.
