So I went to the cave,killed the witches of glenmoril when I returned the silver hand had attacked the companions and killed Kodlak,good to this point. When I entered The companions hall Vilkas did his speech thing then went into a repeat mode just repeating the same line over and over,so I loaded a save and did the witches of glenmoril again with the same results. So I did it again and got stuck in the same problem each time. The only thing I could think of to advance the game was to use console command to advance the quest,this got me around the bug,but now the witch heads are gone from my inventory? Sooo I went back to glenmoril to get heads from the witches left there,the witches are gone. I'm sorry but the only thing I can think of is an add item code for the heads,I realize this is part of what got me where I am but I see no other solution. Does anyone have the needed code??

If you can: go back to the save before you did all of that, kill the witches, do other quests to change the 'mindset' of the game, and then check back in Jorvaskr every so often. I had an issue with Vilkas or Farkas drawing his sword every time I entered so that's what I did. I don't think it was at the point at which you are, but by doing a few other quests it cleared itself.
