I am disappoint son..

So I was off to purchase this game today. I checked the reviews and with a 90 on meta critic and everyone seemingly happy I was solid in my decision. I check a user review for the PC version and I start to see lots of complaints about only having DX9. I thought surely this mustn't be true. I mean this is Crytek and hell this is CRYSIS! We spend thousands on new computers just to have that awe inspiring moment: "Wow! Look at those graphics! Look at the tank model! This is one reason why Im a PC gamer :)"

Now I was never really impressed with the demos graphics but held out, expecting the full release to make a fool out of me. But what do I see? DX9? And you ALL try to tell me this isnt a console port? FOFOFO! How can you even make a next gen game on software 2 gens old? Why use it at all? Oh whats that you say? You would prefer to make millions on the consoles that use DX9 and sell out the PC gamers that pay the bills for all those nvidia/intel/etc big sponsors of yours? Thats fine, but dont you DARE advertise this to be the best of the best. And if your going to make a demo to showcase the game, make it the real thing! Not a "Press Start to Begin".. WTF they have start buttons on your german keyboards?

If this game was designed from the ground up as a PC game, DX9 would be gone, the first leaked screens of this game would have brought on feelings reminiscent of the first Crysis 1 screens, and make us all drool. Its so obvious they made BIG concessions on the engine to please the consolers. This is what the gaming industry is ALL about these days and its pathetic. Selling out is the way to go. and soon we might find ourselves at a point where "PC only" is a legend of the past... Thanks for nothing, That goes for you too NVIDIA and YOUR $500 580 that has nothing to do but render console games, you should all be ashamed!

P.S. This is on top of the tons of other issues I see just affecting the basic functions of the game. I mean logging in? Come on who wants to do that!

Edit: Crysis 2 vs Crysis 1: See for your selves...

One problem. This video is comparing Crysis 2 multiplayer with Crysis single player.
You do realize they turn the graphics down such as textures in multiplayer mode so it will be playable? Try comparing Crysis 2 single player with Crysis single player.
Then we can talk :)
