My TV is at 480p, standard def, and the game looks better than any that I've played..
Same here and my TV is 6 or 7 years old and no HD and still looks awesome.
Old TV's for the win! :D
Yeah I need to get a new one anyway and there is an option even on 360 to jack up graphics but I think you need atleast an HD for it.

I got tons of shooters on xbox, no doubt crysis 2 has best graphics Only in singleplayer. the multiplayer mode, the graphics toned down to compensate network isssues, you will see water reflections are not realtime where else singleplayer the water is realtime with lots of waves ...

The lighting effects and shading in the singleplayer is off the hook. it is really impressive that Crytek was able to pull so much out of console that only 512mb of RAM ... (draw distance suffers a lot) otherwise two thumbs up for Crytek ...

now i hope they give out patches to fix problems in connection, AI going retarded and occasional crashes ...

Modern Warfare 2 had better graphics than Black Ops, you need to buy some glasses ASAP. AND why Black Ops and not any other Call of Duty game? They're all the same game pretty much. on the other hand, Crysis 2 has the best graphics on the Xbox 360 and second to Killzone 2 for the PS3. I had to quit playing Killzone 2 because the graphics killed my eyes, especially on no-hud mode.

The comment about customizable consoles would be a great idea, but knowing microsoft, they'll give us the shi**iest basic card so that we HAVE to pay extra money for something to actually view our games. Now, if they gave us good 'ol basic cards like a new normal console would and then have a PCI Express 2.0 x16(slot for graphics card of computer motherboards) on the side kind of like the hard drives, then life would be good. Now how about that multi console multiplayer.......... :D

AND the graphics are by far the best I've seen on xbox. Yes, the textures of the debris in water is bad with flat bottles but that's optimization. Pc has real bottles in the water. The only graphical issue that I have found that shouldn't be an issue, is when you are being lifted by the helicopter and you can see the american flags waving. They look too sharp and flat edged instead of smooth motions. BUT I love this game and it's the only game I have played in a long, long time where I actually have to think before I take action. Yeah I get where your coming from. Microsoft likes to rip people off... Adding memory slots and maybe have a slot to replace the GPU/CPU. Just for the people that like to *cough* overclock their processors *cough*. :D

Geez i seem to offended a lot of die hard Crysis fans haha, its just an opinion you don't have to haters ``boo this guys opinion` I don't see how the graphics are that great, the car models look horrible and the charaters like that professor character with the glasses who gets shot through the window at the beginning of the game looks like hes made of blocks...how doesn't anyone else see this. I agree they made the game so we could all enjoy it but i dunno i expected alot more from this title.

hopefully if they decide to make a 3rd one lets really focus on the graphics because we all know the 360 can push out better quality then this crap.
Even if they make xbox 3 with the latest and greatest hardware, give it a few months and then PCs would surpass it. That is the thing with consoles, it is limited hardware that is not upgradeable. A console life it 7 years and you can't do anything during those 7 years. PCs can be upgraded whenever a new hardware comes out. New video cards come out like what? every six months.

Which I hope the next Xbox 3 or PS4 what ever will have interchangeble GPU cards, CPU cards and sound cards etc. According to peoples budget. That way they don't half to keep coming out with new consoles, just new cards. This would do significant damage to PC gaming though.

I'm also a little bit disappointed by the graphics of Crysis 2 on the 360. It reminds me a little bit of the techniques used in Homefront making the game very blurry.

I was strongly expecting Crysis 2 too look at least as sharp as the first Gears of War on the 360.

Still, the game looks good, but I don't think it deserves that best looking game award on console - Killzone 3 does: it's sharper and seems to have a comparable amount of detail.

Also, the Frame Rate drops significantly in both Singleplayer and Multiplayer on the 360. It's actually very annoying. I don't really get why I when I'm using the scope of a sniper rifle in multiplayer it looks like the frame rate drops tremendously...

There's no reason to complain about these graphics on the 360, and I've played Crysis on a kickass PC. The 360 graphics are very playable and some portions are way more realistic than my pre-release thoughts were imagining. Find something else to complain about. I'm sure you will.

And by what do you define ''best''? Because I think best to me is pretty much defined by words like:
- smooth and high frame rate
- sharp graphics (anti-aliasing)
- sufficient amount of details
- eye candy stuff (lighting, shadows, particles, etc.)

Crysis 2 doesn't offer a very decent frame rate and doesn't offer very sharp and crisp graphics, since everything I see is pretty much blurred by a weird effect that I can't tell if it'S a depth of field, weird resolution or weird post-process. Kinda like an annoying film grain. I play HD on Flatron LG monitor 1080p, I see all the details properly and I can tell staight up; that game is somehow blurry and that in my book isn't part of ''best looking game on console''.

The graphics are great in this game my one regret is my Hd tv is not HDMI ready so i'm missing out on even crisper graphics, I will say that the numerous glitches/bugs tho not game breaking due tend to take you out of the experience, my gun disappearing in my hands for one *no i wasn't cloaked before some dike tit says so* I will say that up close things do get pixelated fairly quickly and staring at enemies dead on the ground they dont look as good. But i'm just splitting hairs the game does look amazing just wish i had the hdmi

I'm very disappointed In the Graphics for Crysis 2, comparing this game to gears of war 2 and Black ops this doesn't compare at all....it seems to cartoonish for my liking. Also some parts of In campaign mode just look ridiculous with low resolution character models, Vehicles. Maybe its just me but i think this game was meant for PC and PC only and they shouldn't have tried to make it for consoles to just get our hopes up...xbox 360 cant compete with pc graphics..at least now anyhow, hopefully if they decide to make a 3rd one lets really focus on the graphics because we all know the 360 can push out better quality then this crap.

OP, are you serious? Comparing C2 with black ops in terms of graphics? I think crytek must be crying right now.

You are pathetic. How do you even dare comparing Black Ops with Crysis 2.
It is probably the best multiplatform game ever, but still not good enough for you?

Finally a few of you agree with me... there are a lot of low resolution models/ blurry, areas of the game.

Well I'm sorry to offend all the Fans of this title but the graphics are not the best seen on console that's for sure, I don't know how no one else can see the blocky character models and low res vehicles/ textures of most of the citys surroundings.
