So disappointed with Bethesda.

I really cannot believe that the only response from gstaff today was that lame post in the xbox issues section to go ahead and download the patch?
I have to leave for today but I really do hope/expect some form of reply by them tomorrow, its the least they could do for us!

And what do you expect, to drop down to their knees and ask your forgiveness?

Maybe they are busy trying to fix the problems that some people are having.

Wow, because that's what he said, right? He pointed out that they've been silent. Way to take his statement and twist it out of context. Total fail.

Oh yeah, they're totally keeping silent because of hiding something, not because they HAVE NOTHING TO SAY!

And here is the problem with the kind of entitlement I'm seeing: Everyone expects an instantaneous response to something that just happened. Bethesda has only just released the patch today and already everyone is going on about how "silent" they are and how they're not doing anything to fix the problem, etc, etc, etc...

Newsflash: They're not going to suddenly come onto the forums, begging you personally for forgiveness just because you made a thread about it.

The patch was just released, and Bethesda is probably not going to make comment until they have a better assessment of just how things stand in regards to the stability of their patch. That means IT MIGHT A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE THEY DO SAY SOMETHING, PLAY ANOTHER GAME AND WAIT AND SEE. NOT A COUPLE HOURS AFTER THE FIRST GUY MAKES A THREAD ABOUT IT.

The question is, you want it for what? It will not make anything better or worse, they will be just words in a screen.

Welcome to how the PS3 users have always felt like! :D

Now you know how awesome it feels when like the moment they left the PS3 version of FO3 unpatched and it because a unplayable mess! :D

Honestly, don't expect a apology, don't expect any form of acknowledgement. if they do acknowledge it they will say "Only the minority have experienced this problem" or "We are looking at it."

You are idiot if you expect anything from them. No matter what kind of comment they make, someone will bound to get mad just like you do right now. Beth are taking the correct stance but the impatient angry customers just never understand.

How long does it take for them to actually identify problems that need to be fixed, and fix them without creating even more? They've been developing games for years. I can understand massive sandbox games are bound to have issues, but it took them a while to even put out the first patch, which was supposedly aimed at increasing stability, and it actually created problems that were totally irrelevant to what they were apparently fixing.

Entitlement? Excuse me? I didn't make any demand to Bethesda. What the [censored] are you talking about?

And what's with the constant use of the phrase "begging for forgiveness"? The OP is pointing out that they have remained SILENT. Anyone saying that the OP or myself are requesting that Bethesda "beg for forgiveness" has a reading comprehension problem. You are arguing against something that has not been asserted. This is a [censored] straw man argument. Go home.

Normally, I would agree that there's no pressing need to comment on a patch with a few issues. Have you not read the problems? These are glaring. There's nothing "entitlement" about expecting a company to acknowledge issues (not necessarily on a forum) after you have paid for a product with defects.

Cool story, I'm not. I know they are working their hardest to get the game working top notch. I can't speak for the PC's UI issues though.

Disapointed with Bethesda?

Sure, why not. A huge open world game had some bugs; they always do. Bethesda raced for a patch and missed the hoop. That doesn't make anyone happy, especially not Bethesda. Bethesda needs a good reputation to sell product. They won't sell as many games with bugs and misteps and problems.

The idea they don't care or were lazy is just plain wrong. This is a new field- the software behind these games, and there are going to be misteps for years to come. Years. I don't care who makes the game, and Bethesda is still deserving of respect as they are pioneering in the breadth and scope of games. I'm disapointed too. It feels like Fallout New Vegas, and that was supposed to be another company's fault. I hope they get all this crud fixed.

Games with less product don't seem to have as many bugs.

Patch was released today, not Monday.

http://www.bethblog.com/ < It's the most current story posted, note timestamp.

I skimmed your OP, because it's the same as a lot of other threads saying the same kind of thing.

And did you read what I said? I pointed that Bethesda is probably not going to make some official comment until they have more information on their end regarding how the patch went over. Not everyone is experiencing problems, and plenty of people are playing just fine.

You can ask for a response all you want, but who are you to them? What do you think is really going to change from you making a thread about it, saying you want a response? If you don't want them to personally respond to you, then why are you making a thread saying you want a response? Do you think it's somehow going to prompt them to address your thread or make a tweet about it?

No, they're going to wait until they are ready to make an official response. The patch hasn't even been live for 24 hours.

And if being sensible about things is what makes me a really devoted fan, then sure, I'm a really devoted fan. Beats the hell out of being ignorant and petulant.

If any one of you bothered to read the patch 1.2 update post right here in these forums, you would have read the part where Bethesda said they would continue to read through the forums after the patch to keep watch on all the issues that are reported.

and btw patch was not released today. it was monday. not that it really matters though. heres the link also: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1294878-12-update/
