Disappointing, Angry & Frustrated.(21:9 support)

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:01 pm

Hello all and to whom ever this concerns.

So with full excitement i, (as many of you) installed Fallout 4.
With a matter of minutes from a simple code to fully installed game on steam, oh how joyful i was.

According to the Launcher my graphics were detected and everything was set on Ultra. without a doubt i clicked on play.

And there it was in its full glory 800 by 600 windowed borderless, Thinking to myself "this is an odd bug" i quickly quit the game and go into the options.

"Well that's odd..." i said to myself (again.), as i couldn't find the correct resolution for my monitor i quickly became a bit confused.
"No matter! there is google to the rescue!" after a bit of snooping around the webs, if found some so called "solutions".

as i followed the instructions and adjusted the .ini files with the correct information... i thought, "kinda silly isn't it?... its 2015, And there are still lazy game designers out there".
Oh well i booted up the game and there it was (Again) in its full glorious 2560 by 1080 the game looked magnificent!

So i jumped right into the game! after carefully crafting my character and following the "tutorial".
After running around for a bit i found a terminal, after reading some stuff and ready to exit, i realized my character wouldn't move.
guess i have to restart, after loading the previous autosave and running past that terminal,
i got my first gun! well roaches bring it on! As i carefully aimed the crosshair upon my enemies i seriously missed every single shot!
Never thought i'd write this down but i died! due to roaches 3 of them! it was silly!

As i was figuring out what i did wrong i quickly came to the conclusion that it was very lazy design.

On non supported resolutions the unit interface is completely off balance its skewed its stretched its simply said ugly.
And thus the Crosshair was also off, in other words the game is unplayable.

I would like to thank everyone involved or associated with the development of Fallout 4,
Personally i find this unacceptable, its the same thing as buying an iPhone and you get a Nokia charger.
I can't begin the concept of thought process through that office, it is purely lazy and sloppy.
The fact that there are 100's of people complaining about this all over the internet should have made a statement that this should be the very first priority to be fixed.

TL;DR

  • No support for 21:9 monitors
  • Game crashes
  • Character gets stuck

i would say this was an excellent launch for a Bethesda game!

Now the hard part, Admit it and fix it.

if this cannot be fixed, i don't want a refund, no i want you guys to send me a monitor that is supported under the resolutions you guys provide so a Acer Predator X34 would be suitable i think.

-one very angry consumer.

Because there is a giant thread about this already, your post would go great in there.
