Disappointing Day

Post » Tue Jul 06, 2010 4:38 pm

So, today was a very disappointing day. I've spent the last several days talking to people from Comcast, who assured me over and over again, that they carried high speed cable service where I'm at(The reason why I called, is because a buddy of mine got cable through them even though their site tool said it didn't reach him, so I decided to call). So, I had my order # and everything, went into my local Comcast office today, and was told almost instantly that service is in fact, NOT carried out to where I live. I was so pissed, had my hopes up all high and everything that I would finally be getting off this infernal dial-up, only to have them dashed in a single moment.

So, that was my disappointing day, what has been a disappointing day for any of you, my fellow forumites?

I'm currently on my way back to Atlanta from visiting my sister, her fiance, and their son in Ft. Lauderdale. I dislike Florida a lot (lived there for four years), but they made it more bearable and I miss making my sister laugh, my nephew's little round ducky face, and my brother-in-law's goofy demeanor. I also met up with one of the few people I would consider a best friend after 2.5 years and it was really fun hanging out with her at my nephew's birthday party. My sisters also met their father for the first time since they were little children, so that was a trip. I wish they'd move to Georgia like they've been wanting to.

I read a post on these boards that disparaged the hero mentality (pertaining to RPGs). That was surprisingly and extraordinarily disappointing.

Dial-up is pretty bad. At the same time, I have only had problems with the service. Internet is more or less fine, but their tv service svcks. I have only had television up in my room about 2 weeks of the month and a half we've had it. People came twice already, nothing stays permanent. About ready to tell them to disconnect it. Now for my disappointing day . . . can't think of anything really. Oh wells.

Ahh, a thread for expressing ones daily woes. Interesting.

I forgot it was my moms birthday. last month.

I remembered today, though!...

So, I thought I would go see her, but she says shes "busy." I know my mother well, and she's lieing. sooo... yeah. I kinda feel bad. I bought her an iPod touch for mothers day, she was wanting one, but.... yeah. I [censored] up.

When my manager at my job calls me 7am to come in to work even though it's my day off and been working 5-6 days in row. I need to rest.

I went for a workout but had to stop because of head pains. I went too heavy last week and I had a mild headache, but I shook it off. Today was a different story. I'll have to take a week off.

A few days ago my iPhone 4 started to freak out and the home button broke, the first girl in a long time that I had a good time going out on dates with decided to ignore me, two people didn't show up for work and I had to stay really late with the manager phoning in requests for us to do on the worst night possible.

In retrospect it's just life and I don't know why I was so mad about it, but not every day can be awesome.

When my ex-girlfriend called me days after the break up and I was already over her but then she called to apologize and the rest of the day was a whirlwind of emotions because I felt bad that she had to call me to say sorry for everything even though it was kinda my fault for being too clingy  I suppose its not every day you hear about a guy being called "too clingy" but thats what I was told :P

I had a pretty good day. My tummy is still a bruised and sore from a biking accident (handlebar/abdominal ), and it's kind of annoying.

Heh, I first saw that as bikini accident, and was like wtf? My day has been alright, yesterday svcked, however. Nothing like thinking you're involved in friends plans, then being denied. Felt like a total [censored].

I demand a fix in the title

It should be Disappointing Days

As in the plural of day

Indicating more than one day

Multiple days

The idiots had the nerve to call me like 3 hours ago, and ask me if I had contacted my local comcast office in order to schedule installation. I was like "No, because you idiots, who I asked multiple times and swore you did, were wrong, service is NOT(I raised my voice significantly) carried out here. So cancel my damn order and thanks for wasting nearly 2 hours of my time" and hung up on them. If I could have, I'd have reached through the phone and dragged them through just so I could beat them with my USB modem!

I realised (like I have done every day for the past week) that my biology assessment isn't getting any easier. And I only got a merit on my Geography assessment :/

my great-grandma just died... I know you guys are going, "well it's your GREAT grandma. come on man!" but I actually grew up with her being happy and healthy. We went to her house every year for thanksgiving when I was growing up.. I'm sad but even sadder for my mom. It was her grandma and she has been really bummed the last couple of days. Just kind of hard to deal with deaths. And this has been the only death that I have known about ever since I was 5. Its tough, but life goes on i suppose.
