Nah, this only means you ruined the game for you ^^ They are tough enemies for my atronarchs. 2 of them can clearly wreak havok. Add Kvenel to the mix and you know what's going on.

Ruined the game? How can i ruin the game? I havent used any cheats etc. Sure i use dragonbone armor but its not even enchanted. Neither is my 2h hammer. Those guys just dont do much. They are so slow. They should pair those guys up with a couple of necromancers.

One of the best moments of the game so far for me. He shouted and I ran up to slash him... ... ... Um. When I realized what happened to my weapon I was so overjoyed. That was a great moment.

/edit: I remember fighting against
Spoiler
one of Gauldurs sons...the archer who clones himself. I felt like he was playing ping pong with me as he shouted me across the room several times ^^

Holy crap! I just fought (I should say got owned) by that guy... He's killed me 3 times so far, which is awesome as it's the first real challenge I've come across. His disarm shout got me every time, even when I was hiding behind stuff, it's insane. It's pretty late here, so I'm gonna hit the sack and tackle this bastard tomorrow. But I am so looking forward to getting some back. I will have satisfaction!!!

When I first realized that the high lvl draguar can used disarm shout I realized I found my first flaw in my tactics!(My tactics never fail me before) So I spent a great deal of fighting deathlords and scrounges and so far no idea how to avoid them.

Everyone who has problems with the Disarm shout can report them in the unofficial bugtracker:
https://unofficialskyrimpatch.16bugs.com/projects/7078/bugs/208442
Maybe one day, the ticket will become "verified"...

The issue isn't the tactical ramifications of being disarmed, it's the fact that your weapon gets flung into the most obscure corner possible, and sometimes out of the level entirely.

If I were designing this, I would have made that shout rip the weapon out of the target's hand and put it in your inventory. So if you get disarmed by a draugr, after you kill it then it will be carrying your weapon.

Ripping the weapon out of the hand to put it in the inventory? That would be a total rip-off of a shout. They just need to find a way to keep it from flying into The Void.

Though, the entire concept of draugr using the Voice is questionable in itself. Are we to assume that there's roughly a billion Dragonborn from another age, and they all hate our guts for no reason?

No, they aren't dragonborn. They are dragon worshippers, who gained the power of Thu'um in a pact with the Dragons, to whom Thu'um comes naturally - A deal with the devil. They get super-awesome shouty abilities in exchange for the worst case of insomnia ever.

Yeah, but how the [censored] would you do that? I can't think of any reliable way to do that in code. (with complex geometry and the physics model, it just doesn't work).

They could change it so that 'disarm causes your opponents weapon to become hot, preventing them from using it in combat for N seconds'?

Alternatively, maybe the idea of disarm is that 'disarm prevents your opponent equipping any weapon for N seconds'?

But wandering around a partially-submerged room with lots of mushrooms/hanging moss, looking for a relatively small dagger is not my idea of a good time :(.

I carry four ebony war axes with me. xD

I was disarmed once. My axe and shield were in the ground, just beside me.

The way to protect it is to just make sure it remains "in Play"

This isn't WoW, where disarming is some kind of arbitrary effect that doesn't really make sense by "removing" a weapon for a stupidly arbitrary amount of time before magically re-equipping itself. It's much more fun to watch them go flying - Carry a backup weapon when fighting these guys, and if you can't be bothered to look for your weapon after it goes flying away... you don't deserve to keep it.

Mind you, I do have a problem with how picking it up again doesn't automatically re-equip and favorite it...

I got hit by one of these yesterday and the guy ended up trampling all over my sword. I was able to pick it right back up though.

Does anyone else get pissed off every time one of those draugr deathlords uses a disarm shout? Seriously it takes me 10 minutes or more every time to find my weapon cause of the f***ing physics engine. Wish the weapon just spawned in my inventory after the shout.

Dont give them the chance to use it!

And if there's a crack in the floor leading to a graphical sub-basemant, or a grill above a void? or even just the 'fallen rocks that a player cannot traverse' (all of which are technically 'in play', just inaccessible to the player) or you're in certain places where the floor is thousands of feet below/non-existant? And even then, what do you do, have the sword magically fly somewhere else - maybe even a ledge 2000 feet below you? or have the level designers go through every inch of every dungeon flagging every bad place as 'not in play'?

/shrug

IMHO gameplay >>>> stuff that sounds cool.

I doubt Bethseda will do anything anyway, it's quicker for the player to just /reload and fight the battle again.

1. evade the shout (they breathe in first)
2. carry spare weapons
3. get shield bash disarm or upgrade your own disarm shout and have a boxing match

Dont mind the shout exisiting but it needs to just put the item in your inventory instead of making you drop it as sometimes it can be impossible to find again.

One time it took me about 15 mins to find my weapon agaain as it dropped under about 3-4 corpses and i didnt know how to drag bodies then.

Only happened once, then tried the same thing back a the thing... many times with no success, the Disarm Shout is USELESS BIG TIME.

Hahaha, it's is annoying but I love it. It's like that one moment during a fight when I think "damn... nice move." I love it. The first weapon I dropped from that I never did find.

But, you know that you can learn that shout right? It's just as much fun to use against your enemies as it is frustrating to have it used against you.

i really like it actually it gives the NPC's and advantage for once and dude if it really happens that much then put your weapons away before he shouts.. fixed end thread

Oddly, they shout at me constantly but in never seems to have an effect. I've seen them disarm a follower or send them flying but their shouts have never worked on me. Is there some kind of resistance based on stamina or something? Or am I just real lucky. I've literally fought dozens now.

You guys know you can block this shout on reaction with a Ward spell, right? Don't tell me you can't because you're playing a "pure" warrior either, because Spellbreaker has a built-in Ward.

I like it because it makes the fight interesting, what I hate is that 99% of the time that item is in your favourites, and once you drop it it dissapears from that list.

change disarm into force pull and let the enemie equip your weapon if it likes it :D
Would be funny to see all those exploited 600 dmg weapons used by a scaled enemie who multiplies it by 10x times in damage. :hubbahubba:
