Does anyone else get pissed off every time one of those draugr deathlords uses a disarm shout? Seriously it takes me 10 minutes or more every time to find my weapon cause of the f***ing physics engine. Wish the weapon just spawned in my inventory after the shout.

That's why my warrior has Fists of Steel and why I wish unarmed was still viable.

Lol sorry to be of no help at all but all the threads about disarm shouts have made me appreciate being a mage more :)

Personall i love it, it makes it much interesting to fight those enemies... but i only encountered only one Draugr so far who had the Disarm shout....

Mine is at 2 words and it seems like i can never push out someone's weapon of their hands... :=(

you are lucky enough my friend, a overlord used unrelenting force and blew me to a corner and stuck me to a table, then chops me into pieces while i remind stuck, then i wanted to load and pressed save accidently, then the game keeps loading up how he chops me to pieces.

Archery is necessary for reasons like this. If the guy with the disarm shout cannot get close enough to you to use it, its pretty worthless to him.

Haha you are pretty naive. The Draugr who used the Disarm shout could shout it across the room and disarmed my bow at least 5 times...

Use a quest weapon (important item, impossible to drop) as your weapon, problem solved?

(or will it actually throw an important quest-item away from your inventory?)

I would really like to see a draugr disarming one of those exploiters, then grabbing the 1337 damage sword and beating him with it :P

/edit: I remember fighting against
Spoiler
one of Gauldurs sons...the archer who clones himself. I felt like he was playing ping pong with me as he shouted me across the room several times ^^

I lost chillrend once. I was devastated, but didn't need to reload because he then one shotted me with a bow.

I actually like when the enemies disarm me or push me over with shouts. Like some people here already said, it makes them feel powerful and not easymode throughout the game.

There is a level limit to the shout, it becomes a non-issue for a high level dragonborn.

Of course due to level scaling, your disarm is similarly worthless and both of you are better off pretending it does not exist.

First time I was disarmed was during Meridia's quest by an Overlord I was stunned by it. I had to commend it, I was swarmed but luckily I pulled out Wuuthrad and put them down.

The first times are the worst. Once you get used to it, you can get a feel for where your weapon will fly off to.

Still, a mod that makes disarmed weapons glow brightly would be great.

Though, the entire concept of draugr using the Voice is questionable in itself. Are we to assume that there's roughly a billion Dragonborn from another age, and they all hate our guts for no reason?

Because anybody can learn the Thu'um with sufficient practice, it is why the Greybeards and Ulfric can shout. In ages past it was much more common from Nords to learn to use the Thu'um. Draugr that can shout were people that in life knew how to shout. The decline in people knowledgeable in the Thu'um probably correlates to the rise in magic which compared to the Thu'um is relevantly simple to use.

Hahaha, had it happen once as I was getting ready to change to spells in each hand to dual blast the bastard with fire. It made it easier for me, although it took me an hour of real life time to find my sword again. Totally worth it because for my character it was something he forged himself, spent months on gathering the materials, learning how to enchant and then finally being able to forge it.

While I find some of the shouts really annoying, I find an enjoyment in defeating those opponents. What I don't like is Draughrs that use [censored] frostbite and just sit there and cast it for like ten minutes while I'm focusing on a Draughr boss or something. It messes with my screen, hurts and they NEVER seem to run out of mana.

The first time I experienced this was on one of those islands in the north. The bastard blew my newly acquired glass bow right off the cliff. I was so [censored] pissed off.
