Help! My shelter has been having these very random radroach attacks and I don't know why! And how can i prevent a nuclear disaster from occurring?

Radroach attacks are just part of the game. Keep your dwellers as well armed as possible, keep stimpaks on hand to patch them up after the attacks, and when the molerats start attacking, look fondly back on the radroach attacks as being easy.
