The last thread isn't even at 180 post yet but uh..ok..

Issue #1 - Water Effects
The water effects in the trailer were, to be blunt, bad. That running water scene where the water is flowing down the rocks in the stream is horrid. It looks like blankets of solid texture rolling over the rocks, games 5..10 years ago have more realistic water effects. Heck World of Warcraft has more realistic water effects. You guys really need to look at a way to enhance the "feel" of flowing water. I can't comment on stagnant water as I haven't seen a good shot of that yet but, it probably needs to be looked at as well.

Issue #2 - Expressionless Faces when stabbed through the heart
In the trailer, we see a man stabbed in the chest, but his face has the expression of watching an episode of Lost; just kinda' chillin'. Why is this? Are facial expressions not something implemented yet, or do you not plan on having real time facial expressions throughout gameplay besides conversation? Real time expressions, just simple ones, like pain, happiness, etc would add immensely to the gameplay factor IMO.

Issue #3 - Low Res textures on the Dragon
I know that the game isn't done. I know that things are still being worked on. But I feel like this is something that should be looked at, even if it's not final. The textures for the Dragon were really low. Like, Morrowind low. I don't see any excuse for this other than "the game isn't done yet" and I hope that's how it turns out.

Issue #4 - Dragon Shouts
The Dragon Shout was awesome. I watched it over and over again, and it gave me chills. I cannot wait to do it in game, and to play this game in general. It's going to be awesome. But I digress; the dragon shout was weak. It felt a little un important, just like a battle shout. When a Nord screams, people hear it. It's a DRAGON shout though. Where's the bass? Where's the draconic influence? I was expecting some deep rumbling voice to come out of you when you did a Dragon Shout. This really needs to be the case.

What I loved.

how do you not notice the epic flame effects after the player shrugs off a flaming blast?

Obvious show of effort when swinging weapons

INTERIORS WITH EXTERIORS? the buildings atleast in the Windmill section show's what would be seamless entering and exiting buildings

Enemy Taunting you, the zombie is epically telling the rest to beat your face in, i'd back up after seeing that.

PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY DOING STUFF. one guy was carrying a crate, while some other woman was resting on grating.

Player visual Fatigue? after he swipes the dragon in mid air, he shows obvious wear and tear accompanied with heavy breathing.

Animations, nuff said.

Animal animations,, nuff said.

theres a hores.

Weapon contact shown against a zombie when the player has an axe, it gets stuck.

Dwemer ruins.

----

what I don't like.

Bleeding shields.

the water but meh, actually that should be a like since water seems to flow pretty well.

People griping about graphics, seriously stow it please.

Seriously, the complaints about the water and dragon textures are just plain ridiculous. Both look excellent.

The lack of bump mapping on the road in town (1:28) is noticeable, but even that is a very minor complaint given how amazing this game looks.

Animation is wonderfully improved. Now I just want to see some UI footage.

From thread #2:
To be fair, the water in the cave at 1:34 looks pretty nice, though.

Yeah, I think that one was actually good. Still, the texture on everything are a bit low overall, but hey, in motion it all looks fantastic. (And it's very likely coming from XBOX, to boot).

I'm going to wait for collectors addition as well before i preorder. not quite as impressed as i thot i would be. i still wanna see the water and the tree's look a little better. the combat looks way way better tho. and it looks kinda like wut i expected for the most part. i hope i can make my nord buffer then that tho. he doesn't quite say dragonborn to me in the trailer. i mean i want guy to be jacked. but apparently u can do that this time so awesome. i think im actualy more interested in the battles againts npc's and undead more so then the dragons. that stuff looks cool. still deciding how i will play. im thinking u know... i might start this game off different from the others. with a stealthy thief like character but i think i wuld miss out on all the new action and spoil it before i culd really enjoy it that way. so i guess i'll start with an archer. who's decent at shield and one hand sword. Armor skill if thats still in.

The trailer is superb! Bethesda is awesome. I really loved seeing the boulder shaped like a head at 1:15, I hope there's a lot of little stuff like that around. There's just so many awesome shots!

At 1:32 I think the bar-maid behind the counter, and the lady sitting near the fire are elves, but I can't tell which, possibly a Dunmer and an Altmer? I loved the stealth attack. 1:33, beheading a wraith! yeah! and the ruins just look so well done. 1:45 definitely looks like a dwemer ruin. I'm going to be spending hundreds of hours crawling around these mountain ranges and ruins for sure.

Er.. they really don't. They're EXTREMELY low res, as is everything in the game. Look at the stills, it looks like the armor is melded into the arm with a few flecks of black in it.

And everyone needs to stop acting like that dragon fight was in game footage. That may have been in game graphics but all the panting, swinging was done for cinematic purposes. That was more like a cut scene. Not gameplay.

The resolution of the quicktime file playing on the website was only 920 x 518

I would hold judgment on the textures until they publish a 720p or 1080p version

IMO it was breathtaking

Can't believe that people will still complain about a trailer that amazing. Some of the people on this forum have reached a new low with their criticism, and that's seriously saying something. It seems like nothing will ever be good enough. We get it - you didn't enjoy the trailer and you're not excited - stop shoving your negativity in the faces of those of us who loved it.

The trailer was AMAZING. Read comments anywhere off of this particular forum and you will see that is the OFFICIAL consensus.

Indeed, it will most likely be fixed when it is released, honestly already people have something to complain about.

Anyone have any idea what the dragon shout translates to? As near as I can tell the words are "Ost Tros Draal", none of which are among the GI translation.

The dragon shout is "Fus Ro Dah", which translates as "Force Balance Push".

Yeah, the trailer was shot using the 360 -- other than the pre-rendered shots of Alduin's Wall that you've already seen in the announcement trailer.

That being said, iIt's looking really sharp on PS3 and PC, too :hubbahubba:
