Anyone else think that those "elf" females faces are really sharp? I'm not sure...

Am I the only one that doesn't really like the way the Mer in the tavern's face looks like? I like that they're trying to make the races have differences, but it almost seems a little... TOO different. It's not bad, just a taste thing.

She looks sick. Like someone said, it looks like a vampire <-- I would have to agree.

Could be a female Orc.

I'm starting to think the face is too wide for the gaunt features, and so it looks a little weird. The cheekbones are too pronounced I think. If I had photoshop I'd make a mock up and play around with the image, but it's not installed on this PC right now...

Eitherway, it's an improvement over the really soft, round faces of Oblivion.

I meant blocking with a shield. Can we not have a shield in the right hand?

I would imagine it's reversible and yeah i didn't mention the shield because that's kinda obvious. But yeah if you have shield in your right hand and a sword in your left then R1 is block. I hope it's universal ambidextrous wielding but we just don't know.

On another note:

Mind adding this to the original post?

Could someone post a photoshopped image of the altmer and dunmer zoomed in so we can see them more clearly? their faces do seem a little gaunt and sharp, like i posted earlier, but it may be due to shadows or face positions or they are just like that, those specific NPC i mean.

Noooo way... They look like ELVES now. None of that lame over-sixed human-like look that you always see on elf race mods on the nexus (just having pointy ears doesn't make one an elf)... classy, elegant and ethereal - they should look alien to us humans because they are another species.   I love how they look. The high elf really reminds me of eladrin from D&D. *dreamy sigh as she slips into fantasy world*

In the one scene, towards the end of the trailer, what is that spell the pc is using on the skeletons? Looks like he is forming a fire ball or something with both hands but it looks kind of weird? Also, is one of the skeletons in that same scene pointing at the pc? It looks like the skeleton points at the pc with its weapon?

Man that musical score was intense! I just hope they have plenty of mellow instrumentals for when you are just out exploring. I still listen to the Oblivion soundtrack to this day when I want to mellow out. I guess what I'm saying is I hope they don't go overboard with the "Nordic choir" when it comes to the soundtrack. I realize it's a darker game than Oblivion, but there needs to be some peaks and valleys. IMO, nothing invokes a sense of awe and wonder like the instrumentals found in Morrowind and Oblivion:

And of course the original:

Honestly, I would be perfectly happy if they kept all these songs in Skyrim, and just added in any new ones they recorded. That way we would have a much larger variety in music, and I could reminisce while playing,,,

The 1280x720 Trailer is now being hosted on TESNexus in MP4 and WMV formats as well as 70 key screenshots of the trailer (same resolution)

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37291

And here is a copy of http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/286552-skyrim-information/page__view__findpost__p__2792761 after seeing the trailer earlier today:

I am not sure this running sequence is actually 1st-person view...or at least not tied into the same even as your character running to the cliff. Why? Because you see no sword or shield in your hands...even if empty-handed, you would think hands would be flying up and down. Makes me think it is a dramatic cut-scene to introduce the 1st dragon encounter when in the game. (0:28)

The looking over the edge part definitely looks like cut-scene material (0:39)

What was the power word he used? Musta-cha? (1:05)

Face of a fallen statue in the woods...fallen / broken trees all over. (1:13)

Architecture strongly influenced by dragons...even scale design for roof material. (1:18)

Working grain mills (1:20) and water mills! (1:28)

It has been said that there will be unique landscapes such as this but I wonder if seasons will be incorporated or if they always look the same in the same location. (1:29)

Decapitation for the win! (1:32)

Did anyone else notice the dragon only has 12 teeth? hehehe. A baby dragon for sure! (1:33)

One-handed firing of a staff weapon with a sword in the other hand. (1:35)

Could this be a dragon shout? (1:37)

The pauldrons "slide" over the rest of the armor when the sword is pulled...looks very nice (1:39)

New creatures or wisps on crack? (1:40)

A 2-handed spell? (1:43)

Also, if my eyes did not deceive me, it looks like we get finishing moves (1:43) and blood splatter particles (1:49)

Nice spider. I wonder if they will use Havok in such a way that anything that touches a web can get entangled. (1:47)

I wonder if this is a "level-up" sequence or possibly where you learn a new power word. (2:00)

I don't know if the blowing snow is scripted or if those snow particles are actually the same particles that fell from the sky and collected on the ground. Looks good either way. (2:18)

Hopefully the free-camera controls will be as smooth as what we see in this trailer. Time will tell.

The Altmer woman actually looks really good in that picture, I was wrong.

The Dunmer on the right does look weird, but it's probably a combination of lighting and her being a bit far away. My faith in the elves is restored now. :)

I noticed that too. That is the one thing that has me a bit worried after seeing the trailer. I'm sure it will be fixed, but with as much as they are hyping their "new, realistically brutal combat", I thought the weapons would at least come close to visually hitting the enemies when you kill them. Oh well, I'm sure it's due to the early build.

Was it a finishing move? If it was then something is wrong with the collision detection. If it was just a normal power move then it could just be the player was out of position and to far away but still swung anyway.

... umm, instead of sitting here trying to think of something more interesting to say I'll go watch it a few more times instead. Didn't have a chance to see it 'til now; made the day seem pretty long.

It wasn't multiplayer anything. It was just from the dragons point of view and was done as a cinematic effect for the trailer. It starts off showing things from the players point of view when he was running and then switched to the dragons point of view while he chased the player.

Stunning, epic, looks like a world I can get lost in for months and months. Can't wait. Oblivion kept me busy for over 1,000 hours and a full year. I hope this one surpasses that (so I can cancel my WoW sub without a second thought).
