I was redirected to here, so I'm just going to copy and paste what I originally posted:
I came home about 2 hours and 30 minutes ago, having spent the whole day ecstatically waiting to get home to see the trailer, and I thought it looked amazing, except for the running water, but I can live with that. Anyway, the shadow of the dragon and the scene where the PC is running through the snow-covered forest looked especially amazing and if that was a Nord, I think I may have to give a Nord character a chance after all because that voice sounded much better than the goofy voices of Nords in previous games, in my opinion (I hated those old voices). I guess that's to be expected with the Nordic province being the game's setting, as I thought Dark Elves and Imperials (the males, anyway) sounded great in the games taking place within their home provinces, but not too great outside of those games. Anyway, the new Nordic male voice (again, assuming that was a Nord) sounds powerful and booming, which are the qualities which makes me love playing as a male Imperial in Oblivion as much as I do. Also, the shadow of the dragon was just plain amazing, in my opinion. Most shadows I see have jagged edges and that forest scene just looked incredible, but here is where a question and a concern come into play. That shadow looked too good to be anything that would run on a PS3, and I'm comparing that shadow to all other shadows I've ever seen on a PS3 game. It looks better than all of them, even Final Fantasy XIII's (which amazed me with its shadows). Do we know whether that video was shot on a PC or not? That shadow and the general quality of those graphics seemed too good to be something that would run on a PS3 and I'm worried the graphics won't be that good when I actually play the game for myself. I'm genuinely stunned by how amazing those graphics look.
On another note, the animations look good... surprisingly good for a Bethesda game. Pretty much everything impressed me, except for the running water. Could that really be a placeholder as people say? I like that moves instead of staying still as in past Elder Scrolls game, but it just doesn't seem to match the quality of the rest of the video, in my opinion. The waterfall in that one settlement (Markath Side?) looks nice and the still water I saw from a distance looked good, but that running water was kind of :meh: and I didn't see any fish jumping out of it as GameInformer claimed there would be. It's a minor nuisance, but I'm more surprised about how poor it looks in comparison to everything else more than disappointed in it, really. Other than that, though, it (the trailer) looks great, in my opinion... too great. Again, I really want to know if that's what the game will look like when I place it in my PS3 or if that's the PC version. It looked like that shadow was under the influence of anti-aliasing, to me.
The video was all Xbox 360 footage.
