Morrowind was smaller than Oblivion but felt bigger.

Skyrim is roughly the same size of Oblivion. It will feel much bigger.

Except... it's the roughly the same size as Oblivion. :\

But the landscapes look a hell of a lot better.

The cities will be massive this time. That one scene of Markarth displays a scale far greater than any of Oblivion's cities.

Bigger then the Imperial City?

From what I can tell, the character in the Elven armor is wielding a glass sword.

They can still use their own piss, It was a famouse method of teeth withening among the ancient Spanish tribes at Roman age ..... But seriously isn't this too mcuh nitpicking?
Not remotely. Dragon Age: Origins was able to make their characters have realistic colored teeth. I'm sure Bethesda is capable of implementing it as well.

I'm really looking forward to this game. I think gamesas learned its lesson after Oblivion, and Morrowind will finally see a worthy successor. I'll be playing a Dunmer in Morrowind's honor when Skyrim releases.

Yeah, all the trendy Oblivion-haters sure SHOWED 'em...

Indeed, according to the magazines there are going to be between 20 and 35 settlements. None of which will have less than 10 houses (and I assume many will have quite a lot more). The 'cities' of Oblivion had around 20 houses I think, so the smallest settlements will be half the size of Anvil and the bigger cities might be bigger than the Imperial City and with 20-30 settlements there will be a lot in between that.

The whole living economy thing we saw and heard about (the wood chopping, working watermills, smiting etc.) will make even the smaller settlements feel more alive than any city we saw in Morrowind or Oblivion.

Settlements are going to be awesome

In TES you can buy cure all diseases potions in shops, it cost around the same as 30 potatoes.
You can make toothpaste yourself.

i love the small details. anyone notice if you look in the windmill, you can see the millstone turning on it's axle? this is going to be great.

I asked about that in another tread and its pretty cool, anybody else who will put things on top of the millstone?

Vertically yes way bigger. Hard to tell the overall size because it's a quick scene but Skyrim as a whole is vertically massive. Add that in with the same size as oblivion horizontally and we should be in for an awesome time!

After much shaking and squealing through a late night, I managed to take nearly 75 'HD' screens from the trailer and make a slideshow for easier(?) viewing >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AmTsuipID4

They are a bit small, but it preserves quality. :) Plus there's music, so... hahaha. I cannot stop checking out the water flowing through the cave... though, everything gives me major goosebumps. :D Especially Dragonborn shouting... ffffff, that was pulled off so epically!

Nice pic's

Not read through the other posts yet,so not sure if this has been seen.
If you pause your video slide at 3:28 ,it looks like one of the undead is actually holding a spear.
Can someone else please have a peek.....can you see the same?

In Oblivion the cities were crap but the wilderness was fun. I think in this game it's going to be the other way around.

I saw little actual gameplay and more staged animations and effects. First trailer for OB was the same way. Still hopefull though.

We saw a lot of the environment in this trailer. A lot of the snowy region, fall forest, autumn forest, a dryland area where the pc is shooting an arrow at the wolf, some town and city shots, waterfalls, caves...

It also looks like that undead points his weapon at the pc like he's taunting him in that scene in the trailer.

A little disappointed that Skyrim is going to be about the same size as Oblivion, call me crazy, but I always felt like Oblivion was too small.

Yes I admit it's large in the grand scheme of things, but so much of that space is really just wilderness which, yes I know there are caves, didn't really have anything to do with the game. All you could do in the wilderness was wander around encountering creature after creature and eventually die, or find caves, kill enemies, loot gold, and repeat. It really did start to end up with 'You've seen one cave, you've seem them all...'.
