that AoE raise dead already crossed my mind, and it will obviously be implemented.
I will implement several raise dead spells. One, for example, will give you the possibility to resurrect one corpse permanently, like a companion, but you will only be allowed to control one at a time. I might even add the possibility of the stronger you are the more you can control permanently, but you have to be really powerful.
Ok I guess it's time to discuss a little about my mod.
This mod started out to be just an overhaul of the magic system for oblivion, but as ideas started to come up, I realized that magic on its essense has both good and evil, and throughout history, we got to know individuals who, somehow, discover powers and special abilities. Well I got frustrated with the idea of after reaching the max prowess of my mage character, not being able to go any further. So if guys like mannimarco could get that powerful (but still killable) why can't I as well?
That's where necromancy and lichdom enters in the mod. These are alternative paths to a mage.
And well I have got to think about the good and holy paths as well, I don't want this to be just for evil players.
Besides this, all vanilla spells have been rebalanced, some more powerful with lower magicka costs. I will also rebalance soul gems, sigil stones, spell tomes and shivering isles spells.
Well there is more to it, but I won't copy and past, the various word docs I got with info.
There are several books about necromancy on oblivion, I will base my necromancy system on them, for instance, everytime you revive a corpse, it will get his stats decreased. You probably know the book I'm talking about, actually there are three volumes of that serie.
Also about that revive thing, yap it might be a pain, but I've heard the mod called Cobl or Common Oblivion possesses that feature, I'll look into it and see how it detects the player's near death and prevents it.
The good thing about this mod will be its modularity. I keep my balancing stuff within seperate esps, independent of the core esp.
Anyway, I will eventually need to get some help on this, I'm doing this on my free time and it might take a bit before released, and damn I want to play oblivion, but I won't until this is finished lol
