Discussions of Possibilities in Skyrim

POSSIBLE SPOILERS

(I know that possibly all of this is already known by people but I wanted to discuss the article without copy/pasting information in)

Lore/Story:
This is a discussion based on the game informer, I will not post links to the article but I would like to discuss it, maybe there are those who have not seen any of it. In the game informer magazine there are some ancient texts written to tease us of what may come. It is a song in fact. It talks about the dragon shout and how it brings terror to evil. The god Tiber Septim was also known to be a dragon born. It states in the song that "we pray for your blessing" which makes me wonder if he will be a big part of the story. It also states in the song about Alduin who is a dragon. He is known as the "The World Eater". It is said in the song that when brothers wage war that alduin will hunger with a desire to swallow the world. So by that I assume that two nordic brothers of high authority wage civil war on each other and the prophecy of Alduin becomes true. It is of course going to be your duty to slay Alduin since you are a Dragonborn (Dragon Hunter). It is speculated that with the help of Tiber Septim you will put an end to the impending doom and apocalypse. This is just one speculation of course, I am not huge on lore myself so maybe some of you big lore gurus can come in and post what you think in regards to the game informer's speculation. They also state, before I forget, that your mentor is the last remaining Blade.

Enemies and Engine:
The enemies you face are obviously bigger, some including Elk, Mammoth, saber-toothed cats, etc. The Engine is new and apparently includes dynamic weather effects which include snow and the wind now has an effect on water currents. They wanted to make combat feel more dynamic as well by adding dual wielding, finishing moves and we all know about the dual wielding of magic, Dueling has now been included in TES. 5 Schools of magic and Mysticism has been removed and replaced with Enchanting. This makes me wonder if you will be able to actively cast spells on your weapons before using them for elemental bonuses.

Skills/Leveling/Cities and Activities:
There are now 18 skills to choose from. The game also consists of perks like what Fallout 3 has and upon leveling up you may choose to raise health, stamina or magicka. Blacksmithing, wood cutting, mining, farming and cooking are all possibilities inside of the 5 massive cities that will be included. Shop keepers who are killed will be replaced by relatives and cities may be attacked by dragons (speculative). It seems that they are going to make conversations with NPC characters more dynamic now and will not zoom in on the NPC while talking. The person will move around and go about their business which would add to the immersion. No more frozen backgrounds while conversations go on. They also mention that depending on what sort of items you drop that NPCs will interact with that object and you differently. They gave an example of a child picking up an item you have dropped and trying to return it to you.

Quests/Character Creation:
Sounds intriguing. It seems that they are also going to be including some randomly generated quests as well, sort of how Fallout 3 always had random quests that you would stumble upon by chance. Character creation now includes beards and body customization. They have added a sprint ability which consumes stamina. As we all know, classes have been removed from the beginning of the game and you are what you are based on your play style.

I have asked permission to paraphrase and discuss the game informer magazine article, I offer no links nor did I copy or paste. I still want to hear thoughts from you lore gurus out there about the possible story.

I hope that is better? I am not offended, I did not realize it would be annoying to read until I myself looked at it.. Should have previewed it or something.. anywho I hope it is better guys. Again, I know a lot of information we have heard and read about hundreds of times over but I wanted to get it all together in one thread to discuss rather than 100 separate threads about one particular element.

Oh so much easier to read. Thanks for reformatting it.

I'll edit my post with my thoughts once I finish reading it.

I wouldn't necessarily say we've discussed it, though we have. The link in my signature just goes to a post of mine with all of the pertinent info. I assumed this thread was a conglomerate for speculation on already known information so that it isn't as spread out.
