You can do it but you'll lose the armor when you do it. I wouldn't do it. You can disenchant other (non unique) items to learn those enchantments.
There is only one set of this armor in the game. But there are plenty of items (like enchanted jewelry) that are just basic items that you can learn those things from without losing a good set of armor.

Unfortunately you are stuck with those enchantments if you want to wear the gear. However, the enchantments are strongest if you wait until level 32 before embarking on the quest to receive the set.

Why would ya bother? You can make & enchant something much better yourself and keep the unique armour & improve it anyway! With smithing & enchanting 100 you can make anything better than the game will award.

Oh, I misunderstood your question. None of those enchantments is unique; you'll just have to find other armor with those enchantments in order to learn them.

You can get resist frost from jewelry. Check the merchants for a cheap Necklace of minor frost resistance or something like that.

As far as I know, there is no way to acquire the Muffle enchant that the Nightengale boots have.

You can find/buy boots with muffle and disenchant them to use at the enchanting table. User enchanted muffle is 100%.

It doesn't come up in the armor enchantments when you're enchanting armor. Apparently you can only enchant necklaces and shields with elemental/magic resistance. On the 360 I can't even do an armor upgrade on the Nightengale stuff or even upgrade the blade so it just sits in my armoire. I've made a better vampiric blade.

...You're right. I didn't even realize that! I suppose he could put it on some boots if he was trying to imitate the overall effect.

I think the gist of the topic is the nightengale armor looks awesome but the enchantments on it leave alot to be desired, is there any way to remove them and customize the enchantments to somthing useful.

Heh, this is what I thought I was answering at first. If anyone is still unsure: there is no way to have a vanilla set (on console).

The armor makes my character with a poor dragon fighting build much stronger against half the dragons while saving an enchantment slot for something else. The set us really usefull for some, just not all.

Well punch me right in the face. You're right!

I had hoped that there were unenchanted versions of the armor pieces I could console command into my inventory. Unfortunately I've found no such thing. When the CK hits, that's the first thing I'll likely fix.

Boots with the affect that can be disenchanted are hard to find. In fact I've never found a pair myself, I've only heard rumor of it on here.
