DISGRUNTLED MAN SETS EXAMPLE FOR SELF DESCRIBED AAA STUDIO

Dear Crytek,

I would like set an example of the kind of behavior and support you SHOULD be displaying. You have the money to produce titles with production value. That does not, I mean NOT exempt you from this kind of rude, shoddy support that you've been making us deal with in order to save face.

If you ever want to have the kind of respect and admiration in your profession as I, and I'm sure countless other consumers of interactive media have for developers that display humility and candor like that: you will hold a press release explaining exactly why the dedication achievement has not been fixed, and furthermore ignored when the issue has been raised.

If these moderators are worth the money they are being paid, then they will take this to exactly the people who can fix it. If they already have ( which I mean I would expect), then go back and demand an answer from them as to why they haven't said anything on the matter. Why the cold shoulder? Do we deserve this?

I WANT ANSWERS. OR AN OLD FASHIONED MOB TRIAL WILL BE YOUR ONLY JUSTICE. FOR WE ARE THE JUDGE, JURY, AND EXECUTIONER. WE DEMAND ANSWERS, AND WE DEMAND THEM YESTERDAY.

FIX THE DEDICATION ACHIEVEMENT.
FIX THE DEDICATION ACHIEVEMENT.
FIX THE DEDICATION ACHIEVEMENT.
FIX THE DEDICATION ACHIEVEMENT.

See it's really not that hard. Just fix the freaking dedication achievement and regain your integrity as a business. Or risk dragging The name of everything you've worked hard to build through the mud.

I'm sorry but I don't think you should compare Crytek to some undergound/basemant developer.
Iridium Studios is an Xbox Live Indie developer, consisting of a small group of people, releasing their games on a digital platform. No, this comparison is so so wrong.
Comparing a multi-million dollar company like Crytek to some indie underground/basemant developer called Iridium Studios who are selling their games for under 10$. Again this comparison is so wrong.
So
so
wrong.

Still you're a cool guy ;)

You must not have read the picture properly. NO developer, be it indie or AAA shall treat their customers like that. What the little guys here have done is demonstrated that they care.

I can't understand why you're standing up for their lackadaisical approach here. You seem adamant in defending their greedy and shortsighted, frankly morally reprehensible behavior. And you're doing it with a 11th grade ideological argument. "They're big and nobody is perfect" is the same tune you've singing again over and over. What you don't get here is that Crytek doesn't give a rats ass about you. They got your money and refuse to even acknowledge their mistakes. And for some reason you think this is acceptable, and we should all let go of it because forums are a bad idea, they can't be compared to other developers, and nobody can make a perfect product. What I'm not asking for is a perfect product. I'm asking for accountability. And this example only displays a moral and accountable design company owning up to their mistakes. Crytek, and you for that matter can learn a lot from this is if (god forbid) you ever decide to start your own businesses.

Crytek is doing bad and careless business. If you support this kind of behavior, then I don't want you making any business decisions in your lifetime. Stick to corporate fanboyism and free advertising. ;)

Jeez... what game did those guys make?

Still, Crytek is not the sole blame here. I can't remember what it was called, but a while ago, around April, there was a thread describing why Crysis 2 was screwed over, and it was mainly EA trying to make their Quarter sales look better.

Either way, if anything should be patched, it should be this achievement. I have been playing for a straight week with no luck. :|

This game has many problems, but the Dedication trophy/achievement is a minor one. Why all the fuss?
Why not complain about the many bugs documented elsewhere that actually affect gameplay?
So many posts on this forum complaining about such a minor thing, when there is so much else wrong with this game.

Some people rightly complain when the bugs don't get fixed.
But if a trophy/achievement is glitched and they can't get it, everyone goes out of their mind! Seems bizarre to me.

I do agree with the OP though. It's poor customer service from Crytek and EA.

Crysis 2 was just a test for Crysis 3. They won't even change the playlists and that's not that hard to do. Crytek gave up on this game months ago. I blame EA more than anything.

Maybe Dedication achievement being glitched completely broke the back of the community's already low patience of waiting for Crytek to do something about the issues. That's probably why a lot of people are complaining about.

You think by the price of the game / size of the company matters? If anything crytek would have move resources and people to make a fix. Heck it doesn't take a whole studio to fix some of the things wrong.

I can appreciate this eloquent post and thread. A lot of truth in the original post too. But I wish people would stop wishing for that one achievement/trophy to be fixed. I guess it's frequently requested because it could certainly be "the straw that broke the communities back". I'd rather have multiplayer up and running how it used to be back in late May, with the major bugs fixed, and playlist changes. I miss playing the DLC maps. And if those things are impossible then having an open communication channel with the mods would be nice. But we can't even get answers from them.

I'm missing out on so much fun because of this game not being supported.
