Disguises and Faction Playing

Post » Sun Aug 15, 2010 12:39 am

This sounds great, even more reason to replay it. I wonder what its like to have every faction against you.... :whistling:

Like Fallout 3, having 90% of everything trying to mow you down.

Edit: @Miko- Nah, then it'd make gamers actually think, instead of just mindlessly point and aim their gun.

This sounds like something that would be great to do.It's always more fun to kill more enemies that are after you.

If by super cybernetic, you mean a giant rampaging machine with dual miniguns or something like that, I will slap you silly. :stare:

no no no no no, that is just plain.... i dunno a word to describe it... i mmean like he has dealy accuracy, like firearms 100, and he might have some robotic parts (not fully, but some) and just a really tough guy (like if you tryed to kill Fawkes in Fo3)

I read in an earlier interview or preview, I can't remember, that CL will send assassins after you if you piss 'em off enough.
So, will these assassins have a guard dog or a spotter so that we can't disguise ourselves from them?

It's not that simple though. It basically works like this:

PC dressed as CL: Hey buddy whats up?
CL Grunt: Not much man, just doing my duties.

But if its a higher up it'd be more like:

PC dressed as CL: Hey buddy whats up?
CL High ranking member: Did you REALLY think that disguise would work? INTRUDER!!!!

But just the idea you can start trouble between factions is good.
Like you could dress as a powder ganger and kill afew lower end ceasars legion people.
and then see what happens...

Hope so, more enemy classes would be great. Their masked mall ninjas will be fun to fight. Hopefully they act sneaky and crouch.

Factions sounds like they'll be more interesting in FONV than they ever were in FO3! :D .

I'm assuming you might have to wear something that conceals (or lat least doesn't make it apparent who you are at first) your face though (might work very well with the NCR - they wear stuff that hides their faces, Caesars legion do not)...

Sorry mate,... but this http://fallout.gamesas.com/eng/art/popup_screenshots.html begs to differ...

I can't wait to infiltrate every faction in the god-damn game.
I will kill a BoS when I FINALLY reach level 30 (Woot for difficult level caps), loot their godly power armor and flee.
I will return an in-game week later with the armor equipped and I will attempt to convince them to go face the NCR.

I actually think he looks way cooler than the Desert Ranger on the box art.

Youz is notz a humaynz.
If the Ranger on the cover has armor that isn't on par with end-game power armor, then I won't use it end-game.
That ranger will die just so I can use his armor for 40 hours.
That's truly sad.
But one of every faction will die so I can have some equipment from every leauge, to be able to implant myself in their bees-wax.

Now this is a piece of fantastic news. Being able to influence game play and the world like this really gives games like this a rank all of their own.

True enough :D . One can only hope this'll be something that'll influence other games though :3 .
On a cautious note, though... Not to be a party-pooper, but maybe we shouldn't get too excited until we've actually seen how it all works for ourselves? ;) .

Because it looks totally badass. REALLY badass! :P . Moreso than just about any combat armor I've seen so far :P .

Space-armor is the latest fashion in the game-world.
Next up in game-fashion will probably be hazmat suits.
