Disguises and Faction Playing

I hope that officers don't automatically shoot you when they don't recognize you, but open a dialogue and allow you to use 'speech' to get out of trouble.

I really like this idea and i hope they thought so too and put it in the game :tops:
It would also make speech alot more usefull of a skill in NV.

I wonder whether this'll sometimes cause a conflict between factions by mistake though....?

Like, we are assisocated with the NCR and attack Caesars legion, wearing T-51b power armor... does this mean that the Legion will/might assume that the BOS are in cahoots with the NCR now and thus become hostile towards them?

But this could have good and bad consequences: You could get an innocent faction killed, or you could have two hostile factions kill each other.

This is amazing.
This pushes so many possibilities.
I really think this game is going to bring in a new age in RPGs.
Even turn-based RPGs will be affected, YOU CAN CHANGE ANYTHING AND YOUR PERSONAL EFFECT IN NEW VEGAS LOOKS TREMENDOUS!

Yeah, of course I realize this :) . But I'm also sorta heistant about starting any faction-wars by mistake... Ah well, we'll see how it works :) .

This Scenario would be pretty neat: *Gets on the bad side on as many factions as I want* *NCR and CL send Hitmen/Assassins* *Both factions' killers arrive at the same time* */Disguise as CL or NCR*
*Grabs popcorn at safe distance* */watches show*

It would also be neat(won't happen, you will see why) if during a questline you had to infiltrate a Cl/NCR camp and suddenly a named officer/commander approaches you and says "Stop right there criminal scum!/Stop! You have violated the law-*chuckles* You should have seen the look on your face! hahaha- Where is the beer I asked you to bring me?

So we will be able to work for both factions(with the right disguise for the hated faction)?

i wonder if its possible to beat them :D

I can confidently state that my FO3 character would have had no issues wiping the Brotherhood, Outcasts, Enclave, Megaton, Rivet City, Regulators, and Talon Co. off of the map. Bring it on! :D

And everyone loves Power Armor because it's so damn badass. I'm gonna miss my T-45d... :(

Does your sneak skill affect your disguise?

Damn hope so, as well as speech would do.

No,

A. It's been confirmed eons ago. All of this.

B. You can pit every major faction against one another, but it's said that in the end game they'll all come down on you. Hard.

A little spoiler tag would be nice.

Didn't think of that. Like what if your not realizing that your wearing a certain faction's armor, and you start crap. Then you start a war between two friendlies, or get an enemy to kill a friend of yours.
Hopefully, you have to wear full disguise, of some sorts, or, at most, use weapons synonymous with the faction in question.

Disguises would also be nice for entering casino's you've been banned from.

The casino doormen would have higher perception level.
I imagine you would need some high stats in sneak to pull that off.

I'd assume it would work like how you can enter a casino with a concealed weapon.

well if you belong to the faction you obviously dont need to use one.
Unless there are different level of ranks that have different uniforms.

You can sort of go unnoticed by the one's you've disguised yourself as.

The new video confirms like 8 factions,
plus the Enclave who are confirmed for a minor appearance,
add in the Brother-hood's small cameo...
Imagine pitting every single faction against each other....
This game will have like 100 endings...
