Disguises and Faction Playing : Fallout: New Vegas

The podcast has confirmed, although we have heard it in another interview, that you can wear disguises to mingle with hated factions.
It has also been confirmed that the factions are set up so that a player character can pit factions that are neutral, or even in positive terms, against each other.

YES!!!!!! Now I just need to be able to make my character bald, then on my second or third playthrough I can make an Agent 47 :tops:

Yeah, this doesn't work on any of the major faction leaders. You can get by conversing with low level flunkies but high ranking officials will catch you.

well, if your'e a beast at the game, maybe you can survive... idunno, is it an actual playthrough part or ending cutscenes

Factions sounds like they'll be more interesting in FONV than they ever were in FO3!

I'm assuming you might have to wear something that conceals (or lat least doesn't make it apparent who you are at first) your face though (might work very well with the NCR - they wear stuff that hides their faces, Caesars legion do not)...

I hope the ending isn't like F3.
I hope it's either live-action or like F-F2.
F3 ending pre-Broken Steel was really bad, and felt rushed.

I personally imagine its a mix of both, like in the end, all three factions oppose one another, but they all partner together to take you down.

It's not that simple though. It basically works like this:

PC dressed as CL: Hey buddy whats up?
CL Grunt: Not much man, just doing my duties.

But if its a higher up it'd be more like:

PC dressed as CL: Hey buddy whats up?
CL High ranking member: Did you REALLY think that disguise would work? INTRUDER!!!!

That would be bad, but every game being like Fallout would also cause some....social disorder
