Disgusting food

What is a food that you find gross and would never eat again?

I think the stinky French cheese like Brie and Camembert is really gross, I mean if it smells so bad from 30 ft away how on earth could I put that in my mouth lol!

Buxada de Bode: It is a brazilian dish that consists of eating the inner parts of a Goat's stomach. I find it quite gross and it even doesn't taste so good.

Lol! I tried something of this sort, stomach and intestins soup. Judging by the smell and taste I don't think they even washed the ingredients before use :hehe:

Calamari. I used to make that stuff all the time when i worked in the kitchen. Not only did it give off a god awful smell, but every night when i was cleaning the coolers, the trays that had all the calamari portions had a metallic purple sludge left behind, that smelled worse than the calamari. You could physically pick up the sludge with your fingers, even though it was in liquid state. I dont know how anyone can eat that stuff.

I'm also not a picky eater at all, i eat almost anything, with the exception of most seafood (i only like Fish, Lobster and Crab), which is probably because i live in a place that is 2 days drive from the nearest ocean, so ocean food is generally not my style.

Well, kaki (Japanese persimmon) is :yucky:

It's sweet and tasty and all, but the aftertaste is very similar to something... of a particular nature :yucky:

Probably anything that's rotten (certain cultures and places do make things rot for the flavor)

Otherwise, brussles sprouts. Just can't seem to like them, despite being a very adventurous eater and will try something once, at the very least. I tend to not have a large dislike for many foods.

Pretty much any seafood, exceptions being shrimp and tuna. I am "land-locked" in the middle of the USA and never acquired a taste for seafood :)

Sea food is perhaps one of my favorite kinds of food. But oddly enough, I don't like fish. Always get a funny look on people's faces when I tell them that.

Oh, I love stinky cheese. Not that the French have a monopoly on it, there are some really nice British and Italian blue cheeses I enjoy, too.

Food that looks at me funny is something I'm not so keen on, such as most shellfish, though that's more a matter of squeamishness than taste.

So I guess you don't eat sourkraut then? Man I could eat that stuff straight. Better with pork chops, but I can eat it without.

Oh, and cabbage rolls too.

My most disgusting food has got to be peas. Ate them many times as a kid and they made me gag every. single. time. There were many time I nearly puked from attempting to eat them.

I'll never eat peas again. EVER!!!

You talked me into it, I'm going to Lobster Pot tonight for a fisherman's platter. Shrimp, scallops, clams and haddock all deep fried on a heaping bed of French fries. I'm trying to eat healthy so I'll get a bottle of water.

Turkey bacon, turkey sausage, and blue cheese.

Those are the most disgusting tastes I've ever had.

Liver-Beef or Pork: That gross iron aftertaste blech :yuck: . Fried chicken liver is somewhat tolerable .

Black Eyes Peas: I hate these with a passion and will not eat them.

Any burgers with Mayo on it, I hate mayo.

Peas: I never got a taste for these.

Yeah, practically everyone I know. But it's not so bad if you cook it to make it extra crispy. I don't think I'd ever eat it when it's tough and chewy though.

I love Brie. I often have it with some crackers. Put it in the oven for a few minutes.. So good.

I guess the prep of calamari put you off of it. The same thing happened to me when I got my first job as a butcher. After I quit it took me around 2 months to have beef again. But I love deep fried calamari with a spritz of lemon and maybe some spicy garlic mayo dip.

I've only had http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-luHpLwNDgcw/Uvy34WH9uUI/AAAAAAAAez8/nwChNs4YD_4/s800/Oysters+Rockefeller+800+3824.jpg and they're delicious. They're also 20% Oyster and 80% other ingredients. :P

Normally I hate cabbage too but I fried some with some shredded coconut and man.. it tastes pretty good! :)

I'm very much like this I think. I'm still optimistic about finding more fish that don't taste "fishy." Some include red snapper, salmon (hit and miss) and tilapia. Give em a try.

Back in 90's Turkey bacon use to be the things nightmares were made of, but I recently tried some maple flavored turkey bacon last year and it was quite good. Nothing will fry like regular bacon though.

Can we be best friends now? Everyone laughs at my dislike for condiments. I can deal with some but like mustard and mayonnaise is the worst.
