Dishonored Performance Results Benchmarks [merged]

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 10:41 am

Hello.
I would like everyone to list their overall performance on Dishonored as well as listing their computer specs, so we can narrow down which lesser GPU's can run dishonored at what settings.
So the people who are unsure of their rig can know once and for all if they can really run Dishonored or not.

Feel free to list performance tweaks as well.

I will have my notes on my performances soon.

EDIT: Please include -
  • Display resolution
  • Dishonored graphics settings (Texture Details, Model Details, Light Shafts, Anti-Aliasing Mode, Rat Shadows)
  • PC specs
  • Average frame rate

Yes very good. It doesn't even feel like a port to me. And as for whether or not you can run the game, Iagrama. My sister has similar specs to you, when I get a chance I'll ask her how she runs the game. Unless someone can provide insight before then.

Getting very low performance on my rig:

CPU: Intel i7 920 @ 3.6Ghz
GPU: ATI Radeon HD5850x2 CF
RAM: 3x2GB @ 1600 DDR3
HDD:Western Digital SATA 808GB

Very unusual seeing as I can run most newer games maxed (Borderlands 2 ~120fps) and when I boot up Dishonored the fps is stuck around 20 no matter what settings I change. I am running an OSD which is telling me both GPU's are running at 99% with 1600MB of VRAM which is normal. I am thinking it may be a ATI driver problem or maybe even a PhysX problem where it is enabled but obviously my ATI cards are unable to run it. Any chance to manually disable PhysX?

If the PhysX can't be the problem, what can you suggest? Changing any video settings didn't work.

*Edit*

Disabled Crossfire and it runs at a smooth 100fps with a single GPU. Definitely a CF problem then and hopefully ATI release an ATI CD profile soon.

An alternative to disabling CF, you can download the latest ATI Crossfire profile here:
http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/pages/crossfirex-app-profiles.aspx

After it's installed you have to manually select the profile in Catalyst Control Centre.

Definitely seeing elsewhere that if you disable SLI, the stuttering issues clean up. If you're seeing that, give it a try.

Could be SLi is your problem there? You tried running one card only?

i5-2500
8gb DDR3
Single GTX 680

Game runs flawless fps wise but rather huge issues when put to multi monitor resolution as detailed in my thread in the pc technical section.

I'm surprised at how well this game runs on my system. I have an average laptop that falls far beneath even the minimum system requirements and I can still run this game at a solid FPS with maximum settings (it was playable even with AA enabled but I decided not to push my luck). I do have a small monitor though (1366x768) so that certainly helps.

My system:

Intel i5 2410m 2,3 Ghz
NVidia GeForce 540m
8 GB ram

I'm a little disappointed with graphics, even at max settings they're kind of dated, but the style of the visuals and open-ended level design make up for that. This game reminds me so much of Thief 2.

Have been playing for a few hours now.

Intel i7 3610QM 2.3Ghz
8 GB RAM
ATI Radeon 7970M

Everything maxed, runs flawlessly at 1920x1080 resolution, holding ~60 FPS.

Sorry for the long wait, she runs the game at around 45 fps.

Model detail: Normal
Rat Shadows: Off
AA: MLAA
Resolution: 1024x768

Spec's:
CPU: AMD Phemon 8450e 2.1GHz (Trip core)
RAM: 4gb
GPU: HD 4650 510mb
OS: Win 7 x64

Your CPU is iffy but if a HD 4650 can handle Dishonored, your 9800gt should be fine (At lower resolutions ofc). I'm not too familiar with Intel CPU's hopefully someone can give you more information.

If anything you can buy it from a store that allows returns, (unless you have to go through steam regardless) test run the game then if you can't play, return it.

i7-2600k @ 4.5Ghz
16GB DDR3 RAM
2x EVGA GTX680 SC SLI (306.23 Drivers)
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Running the game maxed at 2560x1440 resolution with injected SMAA. I dont really bother looking at my Framerate anymore because every game I've played runs smooth. This game is running smoothly so far, no micro-stutters/stuttering, so I'm going to assume its running steady 60Fps just fine.

Great port imo.

Rat Shadows: Off
AA: Off

Well i tried the game today now i wanna say my results

Res 1440x900 (my max)
no vsync

texture details high, Model Details high, Light Shafts on, Anti-Aliasing Mode OFF, Rat Shadows on

my crappy specs

9800gt
core 2 duo e7400 2.80ghz
4 gb ram
win 7 64 bits

i get 37-60 and mostly 45, when it gets trough heavy areas i drop to 25 and the lowest is 20 but just for a little bit

since im recording this ill be lowering the settings to medium, so far im only on the sewers part soo we will se how the game will run later on.

Spec's:
CPU: AMD 5050e 2.6Ghz (dualcore)

GPU: Radeon HD 6670 1GB

I don't know the exact framerate but I would guess it's around 30, maybe even up to 40 or so. I find it very playable despite both the CPU and GPU are below the official minimum requirements.

OK, my hardware is definitely way below the minimum specs and it runs perfectly at 1080p with all settings maxed except using FXAA instead of MLAA

Haven't tried using FRAPS yet, but it seems to be close to 60 fps, slows down a bit when there are lots of enemies attacking me at once, but still very smooth and playable. Loading times are almost nonexistent and the game is very stable, no crashes or hanging.

Settings:
  • 1920x1080
  • Model detail: High
  • Texture detail: High
  • Rat Shadows: On
  • FXAA
Specs:
  • hp envy 15 laptop
  • i7-820QM 1.73 GHz
  • 1GB AMD 5830m
  • 16GB RAM
  • Dual Intel X18-M SSDs in Raid0
  • Win7 64-bit

Seriously, the game runs very well on systems waaaay below the official minimum requirements. I believe they made a serious mistake saying the requirements are that high. I personally know two people who are not buying the game because their systems are below the official requirements. And who can blame them? Even I very nearly didn't buy it. There is a reason for announcing the system requirements. It's so that people would be sure they can run the game. If their system doesn't meet the requirements, the logical thing is to not buy the game.

Right now there are probably a lot of people who won't get a chance to enjoy this brilliant game because of the requirements. I wonder how big effect will it have on the sales.

Running with the Intel HD 3000 at 1280 x 720. in class right now but I will do an Average FPS test from the very beginning to the sewer part when I get home

made 2 tweaks in the ini though. Heres a quick video I made but FRAPS harmed the FPS a bit. Textures high
model detail normal FXAA on (not in the video, recently turned it off) rat shadows off
