Disintegrate perk does nothing...

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 3:07 am

This is on ps3, 4.00 firmware, 1.2 patch. Restarted the game after picking the perk just in case it needed to be restarted first.

Basically it does nothing. Using thunderbolt btw. No ash piles, no disintegration, and according to the skyrim game guide, any attack that brings an enemy to below 15% health should disintegrate, implying a little extra damage, and that no enemies should be left alive with less than 15% health, but several times I've gotten them to below 5% with a bolt strike.

Not a single disintegrate occurance.

Anyone else on ps3 or post patch 1.2 experience the same?

i thought disintegrate mean like corrode armor or something like that, which would be equally useless unless you're playing a spellblade or something.

Um, armor doesn't get damaged in Skyrim...

I use the PS 3 and it has been working for me just fine. Like Disintegtating Dragons, Draugr, etc.

Could be a 1.02 bug. Maybe it will be fixed with 1.03. Of course so few people may have taken disintegrate it could be unknown.

I am starting to see a plus to disintegrating dragons on the PS3. No more laggy dragon bones cluttering up the joint everywhere with their shuttering death throws for 2 months of game time.

I can get it to work on the Xbox 360 (tho it's version 1.00) so it might be from updating the game.

How often?

Shouldn't it always disintegrate, shouldn't there NEVER be an enemy with less than 15% max health if all damage has been shock based?

I got it to work randomly rarely on a few humanoid enemies, but it's not working consistently. It doesn't say there's just a random chance of it happening does it? If so then it's a big POS.

Looking for more experiences from others with this.

Its not supposed to always happen, only if left below 15%
If they go from 16% to 0% they won't disintegrate, just die. Use lightning cloak when fighting enemies and you'll see that it will always happen at around 15%

Many times I take them down to 5% or less where they take a knee, that shouldn't happen should it? If it can only happen with a new attack when they are already at 15% or below, then it svcks, because I don't use attacks that do less than 15% of a healthbar. Not only that, but that would contradict the strat guide (which I know most people think is normal).
