Does dismissing companions effect the romance ability?


I've gotten Piper up to the relationship where I can romance but feel bad for leaving dogmeat all alone at home, so if I dismiss Piper, use dogmeat and come back later to her will the option to romance her still be there or will I have to build it back up again?


Also if I do the same after successfully romancing her will that remove the relationship?

Companions don't care if you dismiss them, so dismiss away.

I just took piper back out with me yesterday after 100s of hours leaving her at sanctuary and she still slept with me the little [censored]
