Display Cases & Armor Stands

Post » Mon Aug 30, 2010 9:18 pm

Now if you can purchase houses in Skyrim, I really want some room in the house, or maybe the basemant, to be a mini-museum in your house to display all of your unique (and standard) weapons and armor. I really liked how the Crusader armor from KOTN looked on the armor stand in the undercroft. And maybe Bethesda, hopefully, redesigned the look of the display cases...if they're in the game.

agreed. deffo would like this in.

Armour stands that are purchaseable and movable in the house, some way to hand shields and weapons on the wall as decor and somewhere to display cool stuff

they wont be able to do the same thing that they did with KOTN, that was an enable disable type of thing, so there probably has to be another method or bethesda will have an immense amount of work

I want to see many more of them, (more then just one for each type of armor) i would like to choose what to put on it, like a corpse in morrowind. (when you put armor on the corpse it equipped it) so you can commemorate your favorite armor sets that you have worn through out the game. Or better yet ones that clone what your wearing as a replica item, eg: it would make a copy of a ebony cuirass as 'display ebony cuirass.'

Seeing that we had usermade mods that placed armor mannequins in Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout NV; I really hope Bethesda will implement something similar from the start. I always loved seeing my favorite collections of armor and weaponry in my trophy room being displayed on my mannequins :)

sure. and they should be optional for even the cheapest house. I hated how the shack in bravil never had a case, I know it starts as a poor house but you should be able to upgrade it to the luxery level as that of the house in skingrad.

I am literally addicted to laying out my stuff in my house. I collected every piece of armor in Oblivion, and was trying to get every single weapon, too.

Then I painstakingly sorted it into different shelves and drawers, laying out unique items or special ones around my house. Mother's skull, one of every katana on the table, weapons of note. My first daedric sword.

I would be very pleased if something that made that easier and more visible were implemented. I like having my own museum.

This would be pretty easy to do.. just have a dummy stand with the same body groups and skeleton as human models, so the armor assigns itself to the correct positions.

I always liked colecting the shield from each town in oblivion and displaying them in my house. now if this is implemented it can look neat

They've had display cases in houses in Oblivion, just not armor stands. So you could in Oblivion show off your cool weapons you weren't using or any of your items (I used the console to make the necromancer's amulet again after I finished the quest and then placed it in the display case, that amulet is sweet looking)

in oblivion i spent ages laying out things in battlehorn castle private, quarters, east wing and great hall and i've now moved onto rosethorn hall. i just think it's good to have all those enchanted items and stuff on display and ready to use if ever needed.
