"Dispose of Corpse"

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2011 12:54 am

I'd like to see this.

My first playthrough of Fallout NV, I killed Benny, then dragged his corpse through Deathclaw infested roads just to put him in that grave they had dug for me. One of my most satisfying game moments ever.

they're going for realism more and more, so we cant just POOF the bodies away, thats about as unrealistic as you can get.

im sure they'll figure something out, though... i just hope for one thing... I WANT TO BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH THE BODIES STILL!

i want to keep the "grab" feature from oblivion, so i can drag corpses around and put them in funny positions, etc... i spent most of my time in oblivion playing with corpses, enjoying the physics.

Yup, being able to drag those nasty bandit bodies off of the road and bury them finally!

I wonder how different the grabbing is going to be? Maybe we'll be able to pick up a body?

Yes I wonder what they have done with the grabbing feature as well. There's no way they could have removed this?

Personally I want to keep the grab feature, just, make it better/easier. Add to that AI that actually reacts to dead bodies and I'd be happy. It'd force you to hide them rather than leave them laying around. Then just have them disappear after so many days.

Should be some kind of "carry corpse" option to actually take it up to move it better. I don't want the magic corpse disapearing thing from Morrowind, it was great when we didn't have phsyics, but now i'd like a more immersive and complicated way to dispose of corpses. Maybe throwing them in wells and stuff?

I'd like this option back. The "morgue" option sounds good too, some people hired to carry corpses with carriages and then burn them. The mortuary and its employees would be the second best place for a thief after the bank, since people have the bad habit to die with many valuables on them

surely they would be stripped of these kinds of possessions?

Scavengars! Buzzards, bears, wolves, rats and a swarm of insects. Good for out in the countryside. The body removal cart and crew in cities.

On ps3 it's an issue.
I hope they do something about this, it was very frustrating finding a dead guy in Imperial city that the guards killed weeks ago.

And you would still be able to.
This is merely an extra option.

I would rather not have dispose of corpse that makes the corpse disappear. I think we should have to drag the body off and hide it so that guards or other people won't find it and report it. Bodies should be removed when a guard or someone finds it since they will take them off to be buried. Otherwise they should disappear after a few weeks if you hid it where no one would notice it. It just needs to be somewhere in between Morrowind and Oblivion. Morrowind made them disappear with a button click and Oblivion didn't do anything about them until they finally disappeared from the street after a few weeks.

If I played an assassin again I probably would bury somebody in a graveyard in a city (with the option), if I'm in a small town or just outside of a city I'd through the in the closest river, and if i'm in the countryside i'd just drag it off of the road...

The family and friends of someone who dies should hold a funeral for them two to three days after their body is discovered. I'd also want animals to eat it and/or it decomposes...

You should be able to hide the body or else guards will find it and begin an investigation and later carry the body to the city coroner where it will be examined. You could possible be found guilty of the crime after this or you could frame someone or you could steal the body before the coroner has a chance to see it. This would open a lot of stuff up. Maybe if the person is lower class there is no investigation or just a crappy investigation but if they're royalty or something, guards will be everywhere.

Yeah then it could get even more immersive and poison the water supply of NPCs that use the well.

I think you should actually have to drag bodies and hide them. And that if there is a dead body, people should freak out, guards should take it away and check the immediate area.

Yeah, make that spade useful. Similarly you'd need a pickaxe to "open" ore containers etc.

I'm sorry Bethesda, I'm so sorry you have to read these forums.

Apparently you have the ability to wish things into the game and they just appear, there is no long, tedious development processes apparently. [censored] like this and "we want to have a wife and kids in-game" make me want to bash my head in with a rock.

:lmao:

This wasn't probably intended to, but it did make me laugh. :D If they dial Oblivion's NPC AI to eleven, this should get pretty interesting.

I want enemy NPCs or creatures to care when they see corpses of their own kind, so they know something's up. Hiding corpses should be an important skill for stealth characters, and it could be done different ways but not by the push of a button.

As long as "dispose of body" is actually "eat the body" for the bosmer. Hey, they are cannibals, and it is against their religion to let a body go to waste.

Pretty sure it's something only the primitive ones do anymore.
