Dissapearing Shirts/Pants on NPCs (reposting here)

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 6:04 pm

Im reposting this here as asked

Hi im new to these boards and i just recently ran into an issue of dissapearing shirts and pants after i installed a few mods, i tried replacing the installed textures and mesh files with the old ones i had on backup but i mixed somed things up and now im not sure how to fix the issue. It is not a 'huge' problem, but its an immersion and cosmetic issue i would like to get fixed (preferably without havint to uninstall everything).

I need to request some help from the community for this because i am not sure how to fix this. The dissapearing shirts/pants seem to only be on the npcs roaming around in the Imperial City (thats where i was when i noticed it, i dont know if other cities have the same issue). It seems to be begger pants, and shirts, on Male characters only. It makes their legs and torso invisible (except their hands and feet) but when i kill them and take their shirts or pants then their torso and legs appear again...so im guessing just from that its something to do with a texture or mesh shirt file.

Im hoping there are ways to repair this, possibly a download of some kind or someone can try to tell me what file i have to modify and what to put in there?

The most recent mods that i have downloaded/attempted to install/try to fix and deactivate are (these mods were extracted manually):

Actors in Charge (active)
MaleBodyReplacerV4-14942 (which came with Beautiful People version of the same mod too) **This was the one i was attempting to replace the mod files with my old files and got mixed up, im assuming thats why there are dissapearing shirts/pants bec i either replaced or misplaced one of the files for them**
Apachii Goddess Store (active, but also doesnt work at all)
Cute Elves (active)
Immersive Interface (active)
ImpeREAL city unique Districts (merged) (active)
sixlivion version 0_83-31741 (which doesnt work at all)
Beaming Sunglare v12 (active)

Also wanted to note that im having some issues with OBMM being that it only shows three mods there in the activate section. idk how to fix that, other then installing a new OBMM (which i did)

Yep, should be connected to MaleBodyReplacerV4 as it comes with replacers for vanilla clothes. Either a wrong install or uninstall of it - or perhaps that you're not running BSA redirection? If the latter, turn it on via OBMM: Utilities > Archive invaldiation > Check BSA redirection. Basically, when using texture replacers, using BSA redirection is necessary to ensure that they get loaded. If the former, try reinstalling it perhaps?

I did what you suggested with Omod and it seems like (just from what i noticed briefly at one of my castles) that male npcs are just walking around in their skivvies now lol. Im going to check the cities later this morning but it looks like the dissapearing torsos were fixed. Ill be posting again here shortly to confirm

I've noticed that vampires (both male and female) don't wear pants in my game despite having them in their inventory. I guess they have some exhibitionist tendencies :hubbahubba:
