It takes no moar than clicking Next, Next, Next to see some just released screenshots and make your conclusions.
To me it just looks like an Oblivion 2.0 that even falls closer to a 1.5, maybe with a little more character, but that swamp screenshot is really bad...

My feeling is that everything seems "made of colored paper". Doesn't it? The rocks, the trees, the skin of the woman at the bar, with a warm lighting applied that makes it look better nonetheless. What does it feel to you?

Don't mess it up prioritizing gameplay, i know it's more important, just express your opinion on the matter at hand. I wanna know if it's just me.

those arn't new at all, and I like the graphics and 1 thing about the swamp screenshots, Shadows, major improvement

I don't know how anyone could look at those screen shots and be disappointed. To me the game looks amazing. I know that sounds like I'm a big "really devoted fan" but there are games where I hate the graphics, this isn't one of them. They look really good to me.

That said I hope they support DX11 because I purchased a new graphics card for it, but in the end it won't be important to me.

There is nothing wrong with the way Skyrim looks. The only thing we have seen so far are screens, and they look pretty amazing by themselves. I can pretty much guarantee the game will look great when we see a gameplay video. People are worrying way too much. Plus, graphics aren't that huge of a deal. They looked good enough two years ago, thats plenty for me.

I think the graphics look fine. Maybe not the absolute best out there, but pretty good nonetheless.

Of course, I don't play TES games for the graphics anyways. I like good graphics but I'd much rather they spend their time/money on things like story/gameplay/etc.

no. looks good to me. I would be willing to see no improvements in graphics from FO3 levels if it meant much much more content.

btw a few looked like concept art not screen shots.

1. Yes. My FO3 and TES4 look better with mods.

What does it feel like to me?

It feels like a game that, graphics or no, has a whole lot more character than its predecessor.
And that's all that really matters. The most awe-inspiring graphics in the world doth not a good game make.

EDIT: Not that what I've seen really looks bad anyway. Is it a complete and total revolution in terms of visuals? No, probably not. But that's ok; the total revolutions can come elsewhere in the game.

my biggest complaints about oblivion were the lighting and shadows. textures can be replaced easily but i think modders are still working on the shadows and better lighting for oblivion to this day. supposedly everything in skyrim casts a shadow and supposedly the lighting is global. if those two are true than im happy. oh and i hope they fixed the water. it was to jello like in oblivion and they didnt have wave meshes on the shore like you see in games today which was really noticable.

dude, the game looks amazing and they fixed a lot of the graphical problems with the last game, such as the mountains looks like mountains this time around, the trees look more hand crafted and not just copies of each other, the people don't look ugly as hell, houses look cooler, better shadows.

I think that the graphics are great. The models look like a huge improvement though.

IT'S ON THE CONSOLE!!!!! I've had to say this like 10 times today. These screens are from the console, they have hardware limitations so they basically look like what skyrim will on lowest settings. If you think of it in terms of a 360 games (which is what the screens are of) those are some pretty damn good screens. The PC will look far better so for those that are worried about the graphics, don't be because if you take the 360 screens as a reference and then add all of the PC features such as High res textures and everything else, the graphics will look amazing. Vegetation looks bad close up on every console game because of low AA and the consoles don't supports AAA so trees and bushes don't look realistic. Can people please some overreacting with what they see and step back and realize that this looks amazing for a console game and then realize the PC will look even better, so TES still holds it's place as always releasing top of the line graphics....Thank you...

*Shrug* I don't think Bethesda forte anyway is extreme graphics. And good for them, too : graphics get outdated, years later, Morrowind still manages to be pretty to my eyes. :nod:

The graphics looks just find to me but then again graphics are of little concern of to me and not looking for graphic novelties like Crysis.

I got those screens in the Skyrim Game Informer and the graphics look amazing!! Plus I agree I worry more about game play and story line but graphics are just a huge plus

Skyrim it not about graphics its about gameplay and story.In rpgs graphics isnt important for me IMO.

This. When I play oblivion on my computer, the graphics look terrible. Thats why I usually play my PS3 version. I'm about to delete it from my computer actually, probably give the disk to a friend.
