Here's an example of my arm in a similar position.

Nope. Everything's there and quite normal. Sounds like a lot of people need to go back to school! Like I said, it comes down to the camera angle and its the lighting on the muscle and arm structure. I work out 5-6 days a week so it might compare a bit to someone who either Is much thinner or heavier. But all I had was my arm extended in front of me with my hand open and raised, and took a picture from my shoulder, with light coming from above to the left.

Simple human anatomy with the right camera angle, yet it seems like it's so hard for so many people to comprehend.

The pixels on your arm are all wrong, that isn't physically possible. Clearly god messed up when he was developing you.

I have watched some more of the video paying close attention to the arms wile he is casting magic and I have to admit it dose actually look natural after viewing it several times. The bicep and forearm muscles with the shadowing kinda gives it a deformed look but it really aint. Take a look at the video and other pictures available and you will most likely come to the same conclusion as I did.

Oh, and kudos to Taianonni who took a picture of his own arm to make a nice example of the in-game screen shot! :goodjob:

IDK. It looks right to me. Understandable if you don't like it, but I think it looks right for an on touch spell. Besides, humans are ugly creatures anyway.

I know! And the textures are so low rez... plus there should have been some better normal mapping usage to better give the look of "skin"

My body for SCIENCE! (Oh it's not the case this time?) For the Elder Scrolls! (Well, not really either...) For this discussion!!

On close inspection, the forearm is slightly too short and wrinked. Yes I have taken the angle into consideration.

Throw on a robe, buy some gloves.

Another problem solved. I am off!

Zoom zoom zoom!

Not if he wants to play a naked mage.

As it happens I see no problem. So I am off to.

i wouldn't worry about it too much. remember that image is a still image from a video. lots of times stills taken from video look distorted. for a real life example: http://www.chrisoleary.com/projects/baseball/pitching/Images/Examples/Example_ReversePitchingForearmBounce_BillyWagner_2006_002.jpg

I'm never going to throw a baseball again if it looks like that.

I'm sorry but the Dovakhiin's (spelling?) arm looks absolutely horrible, I won't be able to cast spells looking at that thing.

It is not distorted. If you try to copy the image it is normal.

Edit: you just have to lean back + to the right slightly

I agree with the robe sentiment. As a spellcaster I almost always wear robes in-game.

Also, as a joke response, maybe that particular Dovakhin partakes in blood magic and has to use some of his own blood to cast spells. By breaking his arm he breaks just enough blood vessels inside his arm to gain the energy to cast magic, without spilling it all over the ground. Leaves a hell of a bruise but at least there's no evidence left behind.

He...didn't...break... his arm...

Are you guys blind or something

Maybe the angle is throwing you off. The screenshot looks fine.

Obviously you haven't... Screenshot is fine.

The perspective looks totally wrong, the fore arm look way too short, we see too much biceps..., but in all fairness I never seen a first person perspective that looked right.

It just look like the artists never looked at the way their arms really look seen from their point of view.

Did you see Taianonni's picture on the precious page? Nothing is wrong with the arm, it's just the angle/lighting that makes it look like that.

The game is kind of still in BETA testing. I would be surprised if there was no more stuff to fix, and they are already finished, just waiting with the release to 11-11-11 to make us suffer.

I would like to see the look on Todds face if he knew that I have discovered their conspiracy. :spotted owl:
