Distracting Neck Seams on NPCs

I'm getting awkward looking neck seams on all NPCs both male and female, I only noticed this after installing Robert's Male Body Replacer. I'm figuring there's some conflict with my other Beauty mods. Here is my load order:

I have both HGEC and Cobl Races TNR, i feel there is some issue between these and Robert's Male Body. I'm guessing I'm getting the HGEC/Robert's Male Body bodies for my NPCs and the TNR heads, with vanilla necks in between which leaves a strange and distracting band around the neck. Is there a solution to this or am I just going to have to ignore it?

This pretty much. It's extremely difficult getting head and body textures that match each other exactly. If you do manage it, then you're still left with the clothing that will probably be using vanilla skin textures. So you may as well just learn to live with it, or you'll be driving yourself crazy over a minor detail.

Why not just installing the "undocumentedly-required" Stock Clothing and Armor Replacers for the body mods you're using? I have yet to stumble upon a body mod without such packages in existance.

Why not just installing the "undocumentedly-required" Stock Clothing and Armor Replacers for the body mods you're using? I have yet to stumble upon a body mod without such packages in existance.


The answer to that is that I already have replaced all the stock clothing with versions for Robert's Male Body(straight texture replacers, no esp-found links to all of them at Tomlong's TESIV POSItive site), as well as HGEC-see EVE in my loadlist. Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough in my post. So I will ask again does anyone know of a solution? I'm currently cracking monster's heads in at the moment so it's not an issue currently.

People have been complaining about this issue since the game came out. Even with just stock textures the neck seam can be quite noticeable. So I wouldn't waste too much energy trying to fix it.

Fair enough I guess it just became more apparant to me after installing those mods. I'm just a bit of a perfectionist lol.

I would. I'm using a hi-res clothing mod so I can't match the skin textures to the body replacer. AFAIK, it's using the default texture. But I'm using Robert's for both male and female so there's not a big discrepancy with the vanilla clothing.

No it doesn't. I use a body replacer mainly because the looted bodies look better. You don't have those arm and leg seams that you do with vanilla. But that's not really a problem when they're wearing clothing.

That's still no guarantee that you'll get rid of that neck seam. As I mentioned, it's noticeable even with only vanilla textures.

I think this is probably best asked in the Mod Detectives thread rather than buried in here.



Just bumping this in case anyone else has any suggestions for my issue.

Edit: I just noticed that when I last rebuilt my bashed patch I didn't Import the Race Records for MaleBodyReplacerv4 (it's actually v5 but the esp still says v4 for some reason), doing this now to see if there is any difference
