Distribution of Wealth

The Kid is back at it again with another story! I got the inspiration to write this from a simple McDonalds commercial. Who knew fast food could inspire? Well please have fun reading this and do leave a comment if you want to (which you probably would want to because I'd appreciate it).
----------

I'd really like to know who the brilliant ones to make bottle caps currency were. I mean who in their right mind would do such a thing? In all seriousness, I'd like to thank those people. The life, if you could call it that, of a bottle cap before the war was rather linear. You are placed on a bottle, pried from said bottle, and recycled soon after. I cannot tell you, and really I can't (I'm just a bottle cap), of the boredom and monotony my forefathers went through. Surely they did not have it as swell as my brothers and I now today.

Why, we are actually worth something now! Can you believe it? Gone are the days where only bottles were given the luxury of being worth five cents if returned. Now has come the era in which we are the George Washington's! The very foundation of the economy relies on these humble pieces of metal! I cannot believe I'm saying this (or anything for that matter), but the bombs dropping were the best thing to happen to us!

Now don't think bottle caps are soulless. The people that perished will not have died in vain. But what am I telling you? Bottle caps are soulless and inanimate objects! I'm overcome with glee, too much for a small object to take! My sentences and statements seem out of touch. Why just me making coherent sentences and statements seems out of touch no? Gone are the days of being disposed of and left on the street. Oh the adventures I will take and the places I will go!

At the very moment I'm on top of a Nuka Cola bottle, one of many in this toppled truck. I have a grand view of the trepid landscape that is the Wasteland. A man could probably be seen a mile away from here! Men know of my worth and value. Why would they avoid me out here anyway? Someone has to find me, I just know it!

I'd really like to know who the brilliant ones to make bottle caps currency were. I mean who in their right mind would do such a thing? In all seriousness, I'd like to damn those people. It's been what, a long time now? I still haven't been picked up yet! What is so dismaying is that many men have been wandering across these barren fields. These very men must not be aware of the sudden economic shift. A lowly cap can only hope so.

What must I do to attract these men? Come here and get rich! Drink this tasty nectar and receive one bottle cap. One bottle cap, one step towards wealth in the wasteland! Look at me, trying to sell myself like a tramp on the street. Ok, pretend I didn't say that. But what do you care? This monologue could merely be a figment of your imagination. What a twist I say!

Dreaded are the days that I sit upon this disgusting elixir. That must be the very reason why I'm not going anywhere. Who would want Nuka Cola in a time like this? Two hundred year old sodas? I would even refrain from gulping the slightest bit. Trust me; you know it's bad when even an inanimate object rejects something (or even thinks coherently for that matter). What is wrong with these people? I don't even think they have the decency to wear that moniker. What person in their right mind would carry a bazooka and wear knight's armor so nonchalant that you think they'd go to their grandmother's with all of it? A civilized person that deserves a Nuka Cola? No. Failed attempt at trying to be a bad ass? I'd indeed concur.

Here's another section to tide you in. I'd really like some comments if you could. It'd at least give me an indicator of any reception to the story. Thanks!
----------

I'd really like to know who the brilliant ones to make bottle caps currency were. And I'm sure you'd like to know too. You thought I was going to repeat the same introductory lines like before? Now a bottle cap may look bland but it is never that clich?. This isn't poetry or prose. To be honest I have no idea what this even is. Perhaps you could help an inanimate object out and tell me what this is. You and I can act as if that was a rhetorical question. Indeed I think we should move right along with whatever we got going. Whatever we got going?

You'd like to hear or see good news? A few minutes ago I was just picked up! Can you believe it? Somebody finally found me! We might actually start to develop a plot. That'd be nice wouldn't it? I gosh darned know it would! The man that has found me looks like a burly traveler. Big bushy beard and worn clothing with a tattered rifle strapped to his back. He must be surprised that he finally hit the mother load. I know I would (if I was human of course). And wouldn't you know he went straight to me! The time had finally come and I was more than happy to oblige this gentlemen. Besides keeping your mind out of the gutter you must realize that this man drank the cola and put me in his pocket.

Well I was finally worth something! It never felt so?so boring. This pocket felt so claustrophobic. Not to mention I couldn't even see a thing! Complete darkness saves for a little glimmer of light coming from the top. Now wait a minute. How in God's name can I have a story here? You want to know all I have for the moment? Darkness?shadows?no light?bleak?dismal?ah hold on, let me think of more synonyms here. Bah, it's difficult without a thesaurus in this inhabitable world. What would the world do without it? Heh, probably what they're doing right now!

Any comments before I move on to another section? I hope I'm not spamming with this comment or story even. Don't really know if no comments are good or bad at the moment. I'm having fun with this but I'd really like some feedback. The story is a bit different, I know, but any criticism or remarks would do wonders at this point.

Interesting, I've never read a story from the POV of a bottle cap before.

Much obliged for the feedback man. I'll add another section to this piece. Criticize and comment as you may.

I'd really like to know who the brilliant ones to make bottle caps currency were. And I'm sure you'd like to know too. You thought I was going to repeat the same introductory lines like before? Now a bottle cap is not going to even think about ruining the flair or originality that came with the opening sentences. Who am I kidding? It's probably gone now. Something original that is used more than once becomes normal I suppose. It's a fact of life. Might not be a fact of life for a bottle cap but one you could surely follow.

The fact of life for a bottle cap? I don't really know. It could even be debated that a bottle cap doesn't even have a life. But what would you called a lifeless being that can think for itself and create a rather entertaining story? An idea of an author? I don't think so! I mean I hope this story is rather entertaining. This might be for a lot of you the first bottle cap to talk to you. I'd at least hope it won't be your last judging from my slaving of the tongue.

Who knew being the foundation of the new world economy could be so boring! Does this guy need to make some purchases soon? Perhaps he needs more missiles for his bazooka. I know he has to be hiding one in his pants somewhere. Would you believe that some of these gentlemen can pull bazookas out without any notice in the world? I mean in a mere second these behemoths of weapons plop on these skinny ape's backs and can be used in a jiff. I haven't seen anything of such nature in a long time. I'm sure you haven't had bottle caps talking to you either eh? These are surely some strange times.

More madness to savour. Please leave some feedback!

I'd really like to refrain from using the same beginning statement over and over again. If anything it makes me seem lazy. God forbid I'd be known as a lazy bottle cap. How would people treat me? You wouldn't mind?would you? You know, about me being lazy. You wouldn't? Jolly good! That's been quite a problem if you can believe it. Certain ruffians, like the one that holds me, have been treating me with the utmost prejudice and cruelty. Did people before the war treat their dollars like vile? I don't think so! The radiation must muddle the senses. That's it! People now have no use of an economy now. That couldn't be it! Why would people be saving me? Isn't that the reason why I was happy in the first place?

Whoa, whoa, whoa! The light is blinding! Where did it even come from? Why am I now placed on a counter? Wait a minute, I know what this is. I'm being made of good use! My first transaction! What am I being used to purchase? Why now?what is this? Is that a piece of wood? Are you serious now? Has my existence been so that a man can pick up kindling? Is he going to bash someone's head in with it? Perhaps he'll use it to make a fire. Maybe he'll build a house with it. Oh the possibilities with just a single slab! But who am I kidding? In these days one would probably just hit someone over the head with a blunt object of such characteristics. Has the world retort to becoming some video game? Is killing the only way to proceed in life now? It sure is feeling like it is. Who knows?this whole thing could be a game at this point. I might as well play along with it.

Here's the conclusion to this piece. I'd like some criticism before I move on to my next story. It's also to note that my next story will probably be in the TES Fan Fiction forum. Hopefully I can get a good reception over there but in truth that doesn't matter. Please have fun reading this and give feedback (pretty please)!
----------

I don't think I have the energy to include a cheeky introduction. Isn't it where I ramble on about nothing anyway? I suppose it was for humorous purposes. A lowly bottle cap cannot help but not find any of it funny. How about you? But alas, you people have devolved over the time I became a part of your little games. Hitting people over the head with a piece of wood? Running around in tin suits like you're looking for the yellow brick road? You have nowhere to voice your opinion in this matter. What's the point when a bottle cap seems to have more logic than a human being?

I've been sitting on this counter for what seems like forever. Guns and the most crude of weapons have been sold and traded in my presence. No hope is seen in these men's eyes. They show no motive to change their ways and become civilized civilians. We, well?they, have hit a roadblock and have come to the consensus to not do nothing about it. My, my, time flies by. You probably think this story makes no sense. But what do you know? I could be a random wastelander trying to get your undivided attention through a cheeky and odd story. Maybe I'm truly an apparition or figment of your imagination. Who knows. And for once?who cares!
