is Divayth Fyr essential?/ Ministry of Truth over Balmora?

The fact that it has a tower in it suggests that it's a mods doing.

Lol yeah the Caldera style castle doesnt belong there. Lol

It looks like you have a mod or two for Balmora already, such as the waterfall. It's a possibility that it's part of that mod. You could go one by one checking off mods that you think it could be until you find out which one it is. Yet I don't see why you wouldn't be able to open up your console then click on it (not with the spacebar, the mouse) to select it then type ORI.

It looks like a housemod of some sort. Isn't Private Mobile Base a big floating thing? Not used it, so I'm not sure what it looks like, but this sounds like something similar.

This cuirass thing is really one thing that bothered me about the game very much. I played MW a gazillion times and never ever found that stupid cuirass by accident. plus at this time I had no internet and no clue at all there was something like cheating or even modding. So only way to get the missing armor part was to kill that guy. Well, to cut it short, I think it is absolute ok (considering the circumstances) to cut that stinking wizard to size and take the cuirass from his dead cold hands.

I can say out of experience that you'll feel just fine with that awesome armore completed at last!!! :P

Most of the armor I came across by accident, the only pieces I had trouble finding were the two pauldrons. As for the cuirass you had trouble finding, I was rewarded that that from a telvanni quest which gave me both greaves and the cuirass with feather 50 points on each. The point being if you play long enough you are likely to find an almost complete set, and if you find help from someone else your bound to get the complete. You could have also resorted to using a bound cuirass CE enchantment for all it's worth.

To tell you the truth I also killed the wizard the first time I played as well, later came to regret it. Finding the complete armor without killing people is one of the most rewarding and difficult challenges you can accomplish, if you aren't up for that you don't even need to get the armor, ebony is almost as good and a bit easier to come by.

but its not distant. its like right over the canol in Balmora, which I can confirm by observing it from different angles.

and thanks for the tips about screenshots, I'll try and get a few pics up by tomorrow

Distant land meshes will still appear up close. I had a very similar problem with a different mod, and resolved it by removing that mod from the list when generating distant land.

It'd help if you listed your mods?

pretty crazy!

Fly up to the rock and then bring up the cheat console using the tilde key which is the ~ key. Click on the rock when you are in the console using the cursor that will pop up and then type in 'ori' without the quote marks, then hit enter. This will then tell you what .esp it is from and you can decide from there whether or not you want to keep it.

if you want to get rid of your rock problem. just use the tilde key. "~" then click on yer rock, then type disable. press enter, then use the ~ to exit the edit window. should be gone.

For me it's just the fact that Fyr is such a well renowned and very fleshed out character that I find very interesting. :)

That doesn't look like the PMB I played once upon a time, but which mod it's from is beside the point.

One: You only need Divath Fyr to cure you of corprus for the main quest. After that: it;s your game, kill him if you want to.
Two: If you can't click on that rock or perform any queries on it, it isn't really there. The mod which introduced it is no longer in your modlist. It is a distant static generated because you had a mod telling MGE there was a big honkin' rock in the air over Balmora during distant land generation.
Three: The reason it doesn't have any doors is because your configuration when distant land was generated didn't generate misc objects or didn't generate misc obj small enough to include the doors.
Four: Regardless of what was generated or what your configuration is or how far away from the object you are, the only way to get rid of it is to regenerate distant land.

Just a reminder, if someone needs help troubleshooting, let's all try to keep to the topic at hand, at least until the issue is resolved.

To The Spartan III: since your modlist no longer seems to include the mod which MGE created that static from, all you have to do is regenerate distant land. Just do that and let us know if it works.

You want to select the object with the cursor while you have the console open. Once you select the object you should see the name of the object at the top of the console window.

Have you tried re-running distant land like Elaura suggested?

Elaura's advice is good, but it isn't entirely true that this means the mod is no longer active.

I have Moon's Spawn in my modlist, which has Ministry of Truth-style fortresses over several Dwemer ruins, because you can teleport the fortress around after a certain point in the quest. The distant land generator will faithfully recreate the fortress in every location it can teleport to. You'll notice it as soon as you get to Balmora by fast travel or on the road to Balmora from Seyda Neen. I corrected it by removing Moon's Spawn from the distant land generator.

Well, that's good to know, thanks KM.

Spartan III, have you seen this big rock anywhere else in your game? Do you use Moon's Spawn? If so, uncheck it from the list in MGE and THEN rerun distant land. The only downside is that if this thing is from a mod you are actually using, you won't be able to see it until you get to the standard view distance (meaning, it won't be generated by distant land wherever it may actually be).

The solution to the issue is still rerunning distant land. If it continues to show, then the mod which it is from, such as Moon Spawn, is still in the distant land generation list. I would assume the same would be true for Private Mobile Base or any other mod which creates multiple docking points for a moving moon.
