I recall those damn cliff racers [censored] me the first time I ever played MW. God I miss this game. I'm about to try it again although I have a new thread where I ask some relevant questions about what I should do with my plight.....

He managed to get his full set of Daedric, plus many other artifacts that he just stores around his place....

In a way, divayth fyr is a retired version of the palyer character :D

Fyr is probably the most epic TES character. He's certainly the most epic "mortal" NPC (although he is 4000 years old he maintains himself with magic and not toying around with the divine or necromacy). Also there are so many gods in TES that being that it seems far cooler to be Divayth Fyr than any random god... I mean he has 4 daughters that are also his wives, even Sheogorath must find it hard to beat that.

Also he is mentioned in Skyrim.

He's mentioned in a book on planes-walking. I couldn't tell you which book it is off the top of my head. But some mage wanted to visit the planes of oblivion, and he tries all these different ways of transporting himself there, and finally it's Divayth Fyr who points him in the right direction. Apparently he's still alive and kicking.

I'm gearing up for a mod for Skyrim that will rework the College of Winterhold quest line... I'm thinking about including Divayth Fyr.

Isn't that book in the other games too?

Well, it is still something though.

Spoiler
That's because there are hints (that some believe and others do not) that Divayth Fyr is the hero of Battlespire.
There is evidence in his tower that hints toward this. So, if it is true, Divayth really is much more like your character than anyone else in the games, which is probably part of the reason he is so awesome.

The most obvious example is his daedric amulet that transports the player to Magas Volar, where he can fight Dregas Volar for the Daedric Crescent, the supposed last existing weapon of its kind from Battlesspire.

But, I think most of the lore guys these days don't support it. I still like to think he is. ^_^

Divayth and the King of Worms (as portrayed in Daggerfall) are the two characters in the ES series that truly command respect from me.
