Divorce or Murder?

Post » Sat Jan 04, 2014 10:00 am

So I decided to play my Altmer for a bit last night. I still hadn't finished building Lakeview Manor, so I went to Markarth to steal some ingots from the forge outside. I do other things, like buy more ingots from the woman at Warmaidens (much better than Greymane, if you ask me.) And when I get home, I'm attacked by hired thugs. After reading the contract, I found out who put a hit on me. Moth gro-Bagul. The one who I married. (Only character that I didn't marry Onmund with). What is my plan of action- divorce him and get that 100 gold a day sent by a courier, or kill him and drag him into Lake Illinata?

You can't divorce in Skyrim.

Neither. Apologize for stealing from your own spouse, you louse.

He put that contract out for a reason. He was thinking the same thing as you!

Unrelenting Force from the top of the Throat of the World is your only option.

He's not a follower, and he'd be too lazy to follow me anyway.

This. You know, marriage life is like that. You have your ups and downs, and you can't just get rid of hubby for petty things like this. I suggest a nice dinner and some make up youknowwhat. :bunny:

I usually kill my wife for overcooking the Sweetrolls...

If she tried to kill me, I would kill her and every member of her family.

People of Skyrim have such a short fuse. Nazeem looks at you the wrong way? Murder. A traveling Orc makes a provoking comment? Murder. A bard has a less than pleasant voice? Murder. Between dragons, vampires and the Dovahkiin, I wonder why Skyrim hasn't turned into a desolate wasteland yet.

What kind of person steals from their own spouse anyway?

It was in the open, near the waterfalls where his sister works, not in Understone Keep.

Hey, YOU are the one who chose to marry an Orc, not me! You should have known what to expect.

Indeed. You see now, how far the Nords have devolved? It is truly a disturbing sight. Ever since the fall of the Dragon cult, Skyrm has become more, and more, and more, lawless with each passing regressive generation of inbred genes and blasphemous practices.

Come to think of it, since your Altmer likely will outlive Moth with a couple of thousands of years, I say, just let it pass.

But yeah, no divorce option unless there be a mod.

Edit: Yes, there is a mod: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=11387

I have no idea, but Altmer can live that long, can't they? (Ok, most will probably only live for a couple of hundreds... Still longer than an Orc!)

Only if they extend their life with magic, but even then reaching a couple of thousand takes a very powerful mage (Divayth Fyr is the oldest whose age we know and he's about 4000).

But yeah, magic or no, they still live longer than Orcs. Does he want to harbor vengeful feelings for so long though? I prefer your previous make up idea.
