If I ever get around to making this (and an armored vault suit) for a cosplay, I'm totally going to find a way to stick a speaker inside that plays the Laser Rifle pew-pew when I fire the trigger. Maybe even an LED.

Maaan I want a 3d printer so bad. I have even dabbled a bit with 3d modeling in cinema 4d so I'd love to create and print things some day.

There's a micro 3d printer going for 349$... it's small, but I'm sure you could print the rifle in pieces and stick them together.

Well damn, not sure I want to take that to a convention. But then, my audio mixing teacher used to do corporate laser shows, and he's a whiz with electronics... he'd be able to help me with lasers, for sure.
