DLC adventure which takes place on one of Nirns moons

Post » Sat Oct 01, 2011 8:08 pm

This thought just popped into me head:

Nirn has two moons: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Masser and http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Secunda. Wouldn't be awsome if Bethesda releases a DLC which storyline takes place upon a small part of one of these moons?

What's your opinion about this topic? :)

Hmmm i've never thought about that before. Are nirn's moons inhabitable?

I'd say no to that. I feel like it would be very unrealistic.
Edit: Though i don't know much about lore and stuff, so i dont know if there is any way to even go to the moons... Or if you can breath there, etc

I don't think Nirn's moons are actual planets in the lore.

A DLC that takes place on a moon. You do realise that moons aren't buzzing centres of life right?

Magic can't make thousands of tonnes of oxygen (Atomic Symbol 'O') just appear can it? Anyway, It would require an infinite amount of Magicka to do so, which is impossible, and what difference does it make underground? Overall it's a stupid idea.

But what about a small oxygen bubble around your head? They could create a spell for that. :)

I think it's a great location for DLC. They could do some really interesting things with this.

I seem to recall a previous thread about a proposed Skyrim DLC on Masser and Secunda back around January that was quite popular.

I don't know, it seems weird. Still, at the same time, it's not unlike going to Oblivion (Hell!!). I mean... if we're being "realistic" here, you shouldn't even be able to breathe in Oblivion without having your lungs erupt in flames. So, you can throw that realistic argument out of the window in this case, as it's obviously not like realism with combat.

I truly hope Bethesda creates DLC like this, and if its not for Skyrim then maybe TES VI instead

YES PLEASE.

It's already in the lore; The Imperial Mananauts and the Sun Birds of Alinor have both made expeditions to the sundered moons.

But you breathe out Carbon Dioxide (Atomic Symbol 'CO2') therefore filling the bubble with Carbon Dioxide, and potentially suffocating yourself.

It sounds a lot like the Shadows of Luclin expansion for EverQuest back in the day. Luclin was a moon where a race of cat people called the Vah Shir originated from.

The Nerevar once flew to the moon and fought craters with an axe...

Just refreshing the spell (your small oxygen bubble) every 30-60 seconds should be enough to avoid suffocation.

You think much to scientificly; Skyrim is only a game and bending the rules a tiny bit is not a crime against reality (objective science) ;)

You do also realise that without a Special Suit of some sort, a spacewalker would asphyxiate from the lack of breathable air and suffer from ebullism, in which a reduction in pressure causes the boiling point of bodily fluids to decrease below the body's normal temperature.

No, this is a fantasy RPG Adventure, not a space simulator.

Most issues regarding to how reality works/is can be countered with magic. And we still do not know what Masser and Secunda exactly look like: that's up to Bethesda ;)

Not to be a snob but you do realize that this is a fantasy game with magic and not Mass Effect, right? "Magic is just science we don't understand yet." That said, don't try to understand Mundus magic or you'll eat yourself alive with frustration. There is a lot of things that "magic" does in the Elder Scrolls that is not explained by *modern day* science. I mean... a water breathing spell? Come on, don't act like this is a carbon copy of real life.

But this can't be countered with magic, and how would you get there? This idea makes no sense what so ever.

P.S: You remind of those Christians that counter scientific arguments with "God did this" or something. (No offence needn't be taken)
